| I agree somewhat with jim, but I think otherwise on the episode part. A few of the songs on this CD come to me as heroin songs or just another seriously bad drug. The episode is him coming down.....shut your eyes don't speak cause things are loud and scary. | |

I agree that this one may be one of his feelings...possibly on relationships...but I sort of feel as if he is talking about people who this all happens to rather then referring specifically to himself.. He starts to describe the whole feeling...you feel when one begins to have feelings for another...(lame and with me) But in the sense of them sneaking up real quick and basically out of nowhere. Neighbors possibly being the significant other or just friends, in the sense that you move frequently from town to town like one may who is touring, in a relationship...maybe even one who travels to escape a relationship. Of course all the moving around doesn't give you lengthy exposure to for intimate relationships or friendships which would back for: "they’d never suspect what you’re like Welcome them into your life No one has to know Playback, delete and rewind"-this is just a way to describe moving around i.e. constantly touring. (could also be how he gets over a relationship which would seem a little intiment but eh i doubt it ha...he plays it back in his head, all the highlights and high points, deletes it, forgets it, and rewinds for the next one) Next he still emphasizes (is repetitious in his analogies...bag from The Difference) feelings for another getting into your mind and every thought you have. Now this takes away from the touring and friendship connections but keeps with relationships. But "you'll be relieved when" refers that there may be some physical actions leading to a physical relationship more than feeling related (like rx bandits Only for the Night) and how the physical can can mask the skeptical rushed feelings. "Nobody wants to...." is Anthony and his buddy talking, this possibly what his buddy says to him. "Each one..." Each relationship or city visited on a tour is harder to get through; or just a better experience (which negates the feeling aspect...but there could def be a parallel analogy in here.) "Wrong and fooled..." Hurt by another fast paced relationship. Now the next line is important, kinda ties the song together in all ways. Bands on tour could feel lonely intimitely or homesick; for past friends even though they are possibly with there best...dunno never toured in a band before..something along those lines. For relationships, those who have experienced a rushed scenario. Those who care easily for another. Then with the rest, everyone lost in the touring or moving or even the last relationship friend(gf)...they don't care, and nobody hears you play your music (your friends). |

I def agree that it has something to do with religion. But on a much bigger sense. That of one in which involves Bush and the war in the middle east. One could easily argue this to be a religious war of sense. But either way. We are attacked, Bush and everyone seems to be mad. This opens up for a small thought of a conspiracy. "It came across like you were mad" I'm not to sure of this one, but i would say: "Holding in your breath with everything you had Until you face began to turn red" The continual lies Bush and his administration put out would cause one to turn red in the face ie. bush. Then he speaks of: “Between the seal a church is revealed and I would rather be lonely along the way”. Now we (ie. the world) see what bush was really (possibly) doing. Now the church comes into play as a bad thing. Just like the dark ages of the catholic church....time slows down and begins to go to waste. So many hypocritical actions of sin in the eyes of the church just cause things to get fucked. Now in iraq time slows with death (and ethnic cleansing....oh snap). And no one looks at life the same, that is easy in this sense. And the "reset our dials" line seams to back it up as well. Ideas? |
