| Iron Maiden – Children Of The Damned Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I like udjiin's interpretation of the song, while it's not accurate, it also makes just as much sense as the movie. Nice interpretation bro! | |
| Iron Maiden – Flight Of Icarus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The allusions in this song are unmistakable. rorodog and iamafish, it's not about drugs because IM rarely, if ever, write songs about being on drugs. Look at the allusions very closely instead of superficially. The myth of Icarus goes as follows, Poseidon gave King Minos a bull to sacrifice. But King Minos was greedy, and kept the bull for himself. So Poseidon punished him by making Minos' wife lust for (want to have sex with) the bull. The bull got her pregnant, and her baby was half-man, half-bull (the Minotaur). King Minos was horrified and ordered the Minotaur to be locked in a labyrinth constructed by Daedelus (Icarus' father, a very intelligent architect and inventor). When Daedelus finished the Labyrinth the Minotaur was locked inside, and Daedelus and his son Icarus were locked in a tower on a hill, to make sure no one knew the way in or out. King Minos controlled land and water around the tower, so Daedelus took the only route of escape left to him - the air. He created wings for himself and his son from feathers, thread and wax. Before they took flight, he cautioned Icarus - "If you fly too low, your wings will clog with the damp and you will crash. If you fly too high the sun will melt the wax and you will fall." He made Icarus promise that he wouldn't fly too high or low. Then they fastened the wings to their backs, and together they flew away. But Icarus was caught up in the excitement of flying, and began to soar higher and higher. He flew close to the sun ("Fly as high as the sun,"), and the wax holding his wings together melted. He plummeted to his death into what is now known as the Icarian Sea. The first verse alludes to Daedleus getting ready for take-off, "An old man stands on the hill." The chorus is about Daedleus's warning to Icarus to not fly too close to the sun, "Fly on your way like an eagle," the "fly as high as the sun" bit talks about Icarus's joy of flying, and "fly touch the sun" is about Icarus's death. The second verse is about Icarus ready to fly and his death. Now the part everbody is confused about. "Now he knows his father betrayed" is about Icarus breaking the promise he made to his father. Maiden flop-flipped that shit to throw you off. |

| Iron Maiden – Rime of the Ancient Mariner Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Listen to Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd. THEN we'll talk about long songs. | |
| Iron Maiden – Be Quick Or Be Dead Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is about how corrput Robert Maxwell was. Which is why on the cover of this single shows Eddie choking him. | |
| Tool – Stinkfist Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
FYI this song cannot be about regular fisting. Look at these lines (they bear repeating). "Finger deep within the borderline Show me that you love me and that we belong together Relax, turn around and take my hand Knuckle deep inside the borderline This may hurt a little but it's something you'll get used to Relax, slip away I'll keep digging 'til I feel something Elbow deep inside the borderline Show me that you love me and that we belong together Shoulder deep within the borderline Relax, turn around and take my hand." The song is clearly about anal fisting because the borderline is clearly the rectum, because if you've ever seen a girl's pussy, it does not look like a borderline or any line for the matter, it looks like flower for lack of a better description. Finger deep within the borderline cannot be interpreted differently, it's clearly sexual. |

| Tool – Stinkfist Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| There's really no deep meaning to this song, just deep lyrics to throw you off. Tool is known to do that. This song is not just about fisting but a mroe grotesque version of fisting, anal fisting. Plainly this song is about anal fisting. | |
| Iron Maiden – Tailgunner Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is not about anything that has to do with homosexuality or the AIDS virus. Bruce Dickonson himself said that this was a common misconception, it's about WWII. The singer himself said that. Look at the lines of the song. Enola Gay was the ship that dropped the atom bomb code-named, "Little Boy," on Hiroshima. A fokker is a German bomber. The one big bomb is the atom bomb, and by the way a tailgunner was a gunner that was situated in the back of the plane to shoot down any enemy planes that tried to shoot the plane down from behind. These days you have to be careful what you say. People who do not understand what this song is about are obviously people who can't understand simple English when it's right in front of their faces. Just remember if you don't like T.W.A.T. (The War Against Terrorism) you're gay. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| When will you people understand that there is no best Led Zeppelin song? ALL of Led Zeppelin's songs are amazing. Stairway To Heaven, Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp, Dazed And Confused, Achilles Last Stand. They're all masterpieces. You can't have a favorite Led Zeppelin song because ALL of Zep's tunes are equally awesome. | |
| Iron Maiden – For the Greater Good of God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
LordOfLight, Maiden are not atheists or satanists. I know that for certain because too many of their songs have many, and I mean many, religious allusions. A prime example is sitting in front of your face look at the final lines of the song: "He gave his life for us He fell upon the cross To die for all of those who never mourn his loss It wasn’t meant for us to feel the pain again Tell me why, tell me why" Obviously they can't be atheist becaues atheists don't believe in good ol' JC and atheists do not believe in religion at all. If you need more examples look at the songs by Maiden "Blood Brothers," "The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg," "Dream Of Mirrors," "Rime Of The Ancient Mariner," "The Number Of The Beast," "The Pilgrim," "Hallowed Be Thy Name," and last but not least "Heaven Can Wait," |

| Pink Floyd – Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I - V) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| One of my favorite songs of all time. The melody is soothing, the guitaring is superb and righteous, the lyrics are perfect. All in all it adds a brick to my wall of favorite musicians and songs. FYI it's about Syd Barret their first guitarist. He took too much drugs and went crazy, so they had to dismiss him from the band. | |
| Queen – Killer Queen Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I have to say, the only thing I dislike about Queen is the fact that Freddy was a homosexual. But other than that, this band is kick ass, love their music. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Moby Dick Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Zeppelin is fucking awesome on their records, but ten times better live! Especially the songs White Summer/Black Mountain Side, and Moby Dick. Led Zeppelin was and is THE best band ever. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Black Dog Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| You guys are nuts. This song has a clear meaning. It's just another rock song about sex. Nothing more nothing less. But it's damn fine song about sex. Led Zeppelin believe it or not were big sexoholics. Robert Plant's signature too small shirt on live shows was peeled off a groupie he banged before the concert. Jimmy Page threw two live octopus into a bathtub with two groupies in it. So, Led Zeppelin aren't as innocent as they seem. This song is about sex. That's it. | |
| AC/DC – Girls Got Rhythm Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This is one of my favorite songs about sex. Here's some other great songs to have sex to. "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin, "Stinkfist" by Tool (more for tantric sex), "Givin The Dog A Bone" by AC/DC, "What Is And What Should Never Be" by Led Zeppelin (great for foreplay and also great for changing the rate you're fucking with), "Young Lust" by Pink Floyd, "Feed My Frankenstein" by Alice Cooper, "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)" by Aerosmith (for someone who's drunk and can't tell if it's a babe or not), "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles (it IS a song about sex), "Touch Too Much" by AC/DC, "A Whole Lotta Rosie" by AC/DC (the absolute best song to hump to). There are alot of great ones out there, but these ones were the only ones I could think of right now. | |
| Iron Maiden – Blood Brothers Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| BDWND says that we're all of the same blood, and Maiden ahs said, "We're blood brothers," Did you know that Blood Brothers has alot of religoius allusions? Maiden says we're Blood Brothers and so does the Bible, but the Bible says it in a different way. The Bible says we're one blood and we all go back to Adam and Eve, and I think IM has realised that and told us that we're all the same family and we shouldn't be treating ourselves the way we treat ourselves. So remember, we're One Blood, we're all related. And as Maiden says, "We're Blood Brothers." That we are, so we should start treating people with brotherly love. | |
| Iron Maiden – Hallowed Be Thy Name Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Well during the 17th century witch hunts paulthemanio, the church did conduct it but they had no real proof or no cold hard evidence to explain the girl's fear and if the people didn't confess to being a witch, they were executed. The CHURCH ITSELF has committed a sin, killing in the name of exterminating so called witches. Maiden has called it Hallowed Be Thy Name because when somebody was about to be executed, the priest would come and read the last rites, which start out as, "Our lord, our father who art in heaven, HALLOWED BE THY NAME!" And theNamedAce, this song is a Maiden song, all the guitar riffs, lyrics, and everything was all Maiden. This song along with the album released with this on it was released in 1982, way before I think Manowar started being a band. More than likely Manowar was inspired by Iron Maiden, remember, IM was created in 1978 and released their first album in 1980. | |
| Sublime – April 29, 1992 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| So much confusion on what to figure out what this is about. The first line of this song makes it very clear what it's about, "April 29, 1992. There was a riot on the streets tell me where were you?" Plain as day. Simple as a toddler's puzzle. | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Beast and the Harlot Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song is very clear of what it's about. The fall of Babylon which is straight out of the Book of Revelations where it talks about the 7 headed beast out of the sea, and the greatest harlot of them all, which she herself, caused the fall of Babylon. Piece of cake to figure that out if you crack open the Bible every once in a while. | |
| Iron Maiden – The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Personally, I hope I don't ever find out who Benjamin Breeg is. I like the suspense of not knowing who he is. I enjoy the music and the question that is a real humdinger, "Who is Breeg?" while I'm listening to this song. The Number of the Beast does the same thing for me as do all of the music I listen to. Every song has something to say, directly or indirectly, and Breeg is a song that is saying something to us, although we don't know what. Remember people, it's not so much what a poet says, it's what a poet doesn't say is what matters. | |
| Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 2 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song doesn't condone anything about anti-education , if you listen to the band members talk, they obviously had a formal education. So that claim doesn't stand. This song is actually about teachers back in post-war England still, since the Middle Ages, disciplined using the paddle, or the rod. The saying, "Spare the rod and spoil the child." Comes from teachers spanking kids. The band members, who lived at this time of post-war England, thought this was bullshit and wrote a song telling the English teachers to stop spanking the children. The line, "Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone!" is obvious truth of this. | |
| Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall, Pt. 1 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The Wall is not just about Syd Barrett, but about the band as a whole and each of their problems play a huge role. This song is about Roger Waters and his dad dying in the war. | |
| Led Zeppelin – Stairway to Heaven Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Stairway has been a song of meaningful controversy. Many people believe it's about the devil or many people believe this. If Bonham heard all of this controversey, he'd be rolling in his grave. Forget what the song means, Led Zeppelin is an awesome band who makes outstanding music, enjoy it. Don't fight over it. This is the precise reason why Zeppelin had shyed away from the public. | |
| Iron Maiden – The Number Of The Beast Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| For anyone who is wondering about the meanings of this song and are confused. This song is actually not about satanism or the devil at all, it's about a nightmare. And what is said at the beginning is a quip from Revelations in the Bible. | |
