The unbearable likeness of being Lightness, not Likeness. It's a reference to a book by Milan Kundera. |

off your memories --- is "off those memories" in the CBC Radio 3 version Be it lucid quest or astral travel --- missing line "shift my eyes from right to left" Do you ever wake up scared to death in your own bed? |

| Also, if you're the cousin to one of the members, how did you miss the "Dressed in a Tom Wakes t-shirt" mistake. It's obviously Tom Waits. | |

Put too much faith in all youve ever known Is "too much trust" --- at least on their CBC Radio3 version. |

| Terrific song, though when you listen to the lyrics, it's almost as if they're saying continents, or "constanance", though that might just be stylistic. | |

| Maybe you can tell us who the Dondo in question is, then? Wiki and google are no help. | |
| The Russian Futurists – Still Life Lyrics | 17 years ago |

To me, this is a song about losing a loved one, and the pain that happens after it; Don't feel like waking up Life feels like it's just standing still (but hey, it's still life) Thinking about death a fair bit Feeling depressed, not on purpose, but that's how you feel. Feeling like all your successes were successes shared. Your partner not taking it as hard as you did (It's not funny, don't dare laugh). |

I am getting different lyrics listening to the CD version from the Album I'm Not Afraid of You and I will Beat your ass - did this person have a live recording or see it in concert? Until you realize the words Are going on and on and on Mine Until you realize that words go la la la la Do you recognize that I Have stopped before you get too high On your own, surprise Singing la la la la I got: Do you recognize enough To stop before you get to love On your own survive Singing la la la la I think that version clarifies/adds meaning as well; the male was in love with this absolutely terrific lovely girl. But now he's been woken up and lost her and the dream is just a dream. The second verse is his warning for her; she is immediately surrounded by other guys (because she is beautiful and now "free") - and he is warning her not to fall in love again; because look at what happened the first time; he still loves her; he wants her to survive, and keep singing (la la la la). And the bridge/final verse are him offering himself again - he wants the love back, and is offering to be there, as a friend or lover, if she wants to come back. |
