Anyhow, its not about being self centered to me. To me, he has been burned and hurt by people so he is starting over. He is letting go of all the people who hurt him and is starting over with just himself. I love this song, it really inspires me to be strong. |

It is a very open song. The mention of god can be taken as either him talking directly to god asking for help or just an expression. I never took it as talking to god, to me it was just to a mentor or someone who helps him. He's asking for help to run and be free. |

Is it just me, or is it hypocritical for a political punk band to be singing about a woman dancing in a cage??? Isn't that a symbol of bondage, something that is very anti-punk?? Why is it that men will protest injustices done to themselves (as in the draft and war in general) but gogo dancers are just fine. Ugh. And I'm sorry I'm such a hardass, I realize many out there will read this and say, "loosen up, its just a fun song!!" but nothing is just fun. Everything conveys a message. |

OK, the point of this is to say what the song means. None of that is saying whether or not it rox your sox or not. Get over the fact that some people don't and won't like a song! I came on here cause the song wasn't meaning anything to me and now I understand the title because SOME PEOPLE can use the site for what it is for and not argue. |
