the actual meaning is that he is a drug addict (all comes back to drugs how lovely) and she loved him but he was taking her in the wrong direction and all she did was take care of him. this is menchioned in other motion city songs. :) very basic definition but walla. |

i love the chorus... verses arent too great. mainly the final chorus. i wrote an english essay on it infact. leaky sink of sentiment. meaning like a dripping tap of emotion... i knew someone like that. emotion was so infrequent it broke my heart. brilliantly written. |

i think this song is absolutely incredible. her voice is so emotional its painful to hear. if you can relate to this song i am sorry. i think about this song alot. more the verses than the chorus. a repeated mistake she makes and she hurts herself (which i dont think is physical but emotional) because she cant control herself. |

and-bluetreads-christianity is about GOD. trinity. jesus as mesiah. our bible includes the old testament. because its about God. we follow those ten commandments. christianity and judism are different yes because we also have the new testament whereas they only have parts. oooo i love biblical arguements. woot. :) Jesus was also jewish. but we worship him. jews do not. :) ok sunshine. |

beautiful. my friend sung it and played the piano and probably the best version ever. too bad you all missed it. this song is full of biblical illusions... "broke your throne and she cut your hair" refers to sampson and delilah where she seduces him then he tells her his weakness and she uses it and destroys him. [Judges 16:4-31] "You saw her bathing on the roof" refers to David who saw Bathsheba from his palace and ended up killing her husband to get her. [2 samuel 11:1-12,25]. also refering to david is "I heard there was a secret chord
That david played and it pleased the lord" which clearly refers to David being the writer of the Psalms.
basically... the song shows these examples to show the curse of love and how it has destroyed some of the mightyest men in history. hows that for love song dedications. :) |
