This song describes addict behavior, always fighting with there addiction, but every time the addiction seems to manipulate and destroy the person without them realizing it. To me the addict, in the song, tries to reason with his addiction. It’s like he’s having a conversation with his addiction saying I wish I could make myself believe I don’t need you. Though the addiction crawls down his spine and with pleasure makes him stay. When he realizes he still wants to leave, the addiction leads him blindly in and out of reality and his soul and self-esteem is the price he pays. |
