idk wth yall are talking about. but i know yall are taking it waaayyy too deep. all he is saying is if. i take it from this perspective that the guy thinks hes a fuck up. and all hes saying is "if i let you down... dont let it break down." meaning that if i screw up, please dont let my being a dumbass kill our love [love is the it in dont let it break down]. 2nd of all. i think yall two are looking at this song as if it were sad... and the lyrics yall seem to be fans of, i analyzed a little differently. "in the night the city's quiet from the rooftop we can see the moon rise high above the clouds just enough light to see our faces give expression to the words we thought but didn't speak and then you asked me a question that i won't forget even if i spend my life trying to live up to what it means" i say theyre looking at the moon and its such a pretty thing too look at that words dont need to be expressed bc theyre thinking the same thing. i say theyre in love and enjoying the moment. 3rdly this song isnt sad. if you think about it she asks him a specific and obviously important question. now what kind of question did she ask that made him feel like he had to live up to? idk maybe a like "will you marry me?" or a "do you want to take our relationship further?" its definately not a "do you think we should break up?" bc why would an ex bf think he needs to live up to the title of ex bf? see what im saying. anyway this song is totally hot. my old bf thinks its a sex song. hes sorta silly. |
