| Lydia – Now the One You Once Loved Is Leaving Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think its about a girl who couldn't show affection for the boy as she might of been hurt before, and he got bored with her and cheated on her with another girl "Tell me how I finally figured it out That now you're caught in the things you said you'd never do And now, it's starting to show like her skin fell out of her clothes She's got a list of moves to make" self explanatory I think, he said hed never cheat the bits the girl sings is from her perspective and vice versa "With eyes unimpressed, you're sealing the conversations And are you wondering how things could be? Just staring at the surface" I think this part is about the boy not showing any interest in her any more, and thinking about how it would be to be with the other girl.. but not knowing fully 'staring at the surface' "And now the one you once loved is leaving And you're so sure that I'd be just fine here And now the one you once loved is leaving But you were surely just taking your own time, dear" I think this bit.. 'the one you once loved' is the girl.. shes leaving him because she cheated on him and hes lost love for her. and the guy is saying - 'you were so sure id be just fine, you were taking your own time' I think this relates back to the fact that she couldnt love him soon enough for him Lastly I think the "Stay for me It was the first, it was the... Stay on me" is the lust and love of the scenario. theyre both singing "stay for me. it was the first" which id take as their 'love' for each other. perhaps the first and then "it was the... stay on me" is lust, maybe for the other girl thats what I got who knows, may not make any sense at all haha |

I agree, I think its about either him cheating on a partner, or men in general being unfaithful (messes of men) Thats the first thing that came to mind when I heard this song, not God |

| I'm pretty sure that the second verse is a little wrong, but I thought i'd post it anyway to see if anyone can work it outtt. | |

I'm not sure if anyones said this yet cause I haven't been through the 11 pages of comments, but I think the lines: "Hey, you beauty supreme. Yeah, you were right about me." Is "And it's agreed Yeah, you were right about me." Some parts are quite difficult to work out... |

They played this song last in their Brisbane show and it was amaaazing A hoard of instruments and people on stage with Jesse running round bashing the shit out of the drums while screaming into his guitar As for the lyrics, Only thing I could come up with was their change in their music from Deja to The Devil and God... The image on the front of Deja symbolizing the space cadet, and pulling out.. Leaving that album and era of their music behind? Cause their music just keeps changing and getting more mature |

| Gregory and the Hawk – Bravo Charlie Lyrics | 18 years ago |

If the song is also called 'Like daddy, like daughter' I can come up with a kinda confusing meaning Perhaps... The song can be taken from two sides... what her father has done to her and in turn what shes doing to her boyfriend? hence, like daddy, like daughter? I noticed it makes sense if you read it that the dad's a prick to her.. and shes just going to go do it to her boyfriend, cause thats what shes 'been taught' ..But maybe thats completely wrong haha |

| Brand New – Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2 (Neutral Milk Hotel cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Jesse's cover is really nice. I think he did quite a good job. Although, I got the wrong Two headed boy by Neutral Milk, so I can't quite compare it yet | |
