| Nine Inch Nails – March of the Pigs Lyrics
| 17 years ago
|
Sorry if people have said this already, but I can't be fucked reading through 4 pages of comments to see if it has. The second line is "March," not "rush."
Again, if this has been said, boo hoo. Interesting fact. When Trent Reznor left the Tate house he took the door that had "Pig" written on it and it became the entrance door to his studio in New Orleans.
And... he lived in the Tate house before TDS, when he wrote Broken. In the video for "Gave Up," you can see Marilyn Manson on guitar. Totally unplanned. He showed up the day they were making the video, and Trent pretty much said to him, "Grab the guitar and look like you're playing it." |

Almost two years on and I'm the only one commenting on this track. Now, I don't think it's the best song, but definately in the top three. Maybe. |

This is a beautiful song. The music is that from "Different," just mellow and slowed down. |

| Twiztid – Bad Dream Lyrics

Unless he's talking about the business side of the World Trade, the first line is fucking eerie, because we all know about 9/11, and that was 2001. The song was released in 1994 I think. |

| Twiztid – Afraid Of Me Lyrics

|
This song is my fave Twiztid song. And it's not about being a musician or a Juggalo, it's about THEM as people. They stated this album was simply THEM. They're talking about themselves and how they feel. OK, Monoxide, in the first verse, may be going on about the Juggalo thing, but the rest has nothing to do with that.
And also some lyric corrections-
"So kindly you'da picked up the album and give it a try for once
And wanna tell your homies that "These motherfuckers'll die for us"
is actually
"So kind of you to pick up the album and give it a try for once
And run and tell your homies that these mother fuckers'd die for us"
"Reminisce from descendents of past trenches "
I think is
"Reminisce from descendents of past treasures"
"Life's been hanging on the streets so what fuck I got to lose?"
is actually
"Life's been hanging on a string so what the fuck I got to lose?"
"And I relate to the broken, bleeding hard love killed"
is actually
"And I relate to the broken, bleeding heart love killed"
"Hopin' to talk to the past, lord, I'm falling apart"
is actually
"Hopin' to talk to the passed on, I'm falling apart"
"And all those tears are stored in storm clouds"
is actually
"And all those fears are stored in storm clouds"
"Continue to haunt me, but now it's feeling low"
is actually
"Continued to haunt me when I was feelin' low" |

| Dark Lotus – Head-Ache Lyrics

This song is fucking powerful. No fucking joke, when I listen to it in the dark, it creeps me out.
And Dark Lotus are seriously dabbling in something. I was listening to it one night in bed, and was thinking about that seance explained in the album cover, and I started to have trouble breathing. My grandpa had recently died, and I saw him in front of me, visible as day, and I freaked right the fuck out. THIS WASN"T A DREAM!! I could hardly breathe and I'm looking at my dead grandpa, and inside my head I was screaming "This is not right, leave me the fuck alone!"
Dark and scary shit. |

| Judas Priest – War Lyrics

Brilliant, just like ALL of "Nostradamus." You listen to it, and it just has an atmosphere. Heavy Metal is evolving, and I thank Judas Priest for that. Something different for once; Judas Priest have always done it their way.
Fuck all these regular run-of-the-mill, copy-cat, supposed Heavy Metal bands out there!!! |

What the fuck is wrong with people? Seriously, there are now only 2 fucking comments on a song from what many consider to be the first true Heavy Metal album, not to mention one of the best.
Anyway, you're right Aniland, this song is truly an anthem. |

One of my top 3 fave albums ever (alongside Pantera (VDOP) and A7X (COE))
And there are no orchestral instruments whatsoever. Everything that sounds like it came from a classical instrument was done by Glen and KK on keyboards and synth guitars. NOICE! |

Official Meaning Of “Afterlife”:
The song addresses the notion of “memento mori,” or the need to remember that death may intervene before we have reconciled differences with friends or loved ones.

I first heard this song on the film XXX before I'd ever heard of Hatebreed. But five years on I've got three of their albums, "I Will Be Heard" is still one of my favourite tracks, and they're one of my favourite bands. And I don't know why everyone debates on the meaning of the song, because it's so fucking clear it's not funny. |

| Avenged Sevenfold – An Epic Of Time Wasted Lyrics

|
Good point synyster39, but I don't think it is ironic in any way either. What he's saying is that he is really pissed off at what happened between him and his friend, and he is obviously confused as to why they could do what they did, but he is willing to forgive and start over again because what they had was something special. And memories never die.
And I know how he feels, because the exact same thing happened to me. A good friend fucked me over but I forgave him and we are close as ever. |
