I beautiful song... my dad and I were driving down the highway one night, and we had the CD on. As the chorus began, fireworks began exploding on the horizon. It's truly amazing to think how much God loves us, and how even though our lives are showrt, we are still so important to God, each and every one of us. |

It's a desire for revival. We've been called to initiate it. If we don't, our nation *will* end up as a nation with no room for its king. This "One nation, under God," is not so much anymore. |

This song is great... on of my teachers sang it at the school talent show. And it's so true! itzadooodzy, I think you've hit the nail on the head. We go to church and smile, and act like nothing's wrong, as if our life is always perfectly focused on Christ. I've got a friend whose mother curses out her kids, trying to get them to church on time. :[ We aren't perfect; we're God'd works-in-progress. We should act as such. Problems aren't immediately solved when we accept Christ; I think this might be what makes the secular world see us as fake, and often hypocrites. Casting Crowns addresses issues wonderfully. |

The song seems both a cry to God and a warning. It's talking about being fed up with filling one's own life with selfish pleasures, which are empty in the end("let me live without this empty bliss, selfishness"). Think sex without love, drugs and alcohol that give you a high but destroy your health. The first verse ("If you want more...") is talking about how people often ignore this. They fill their lives with the things that they know in the end can/will hurt them, but they care more about feeling good for the moment. |

I woke up to this song one morning. It caught my interest, and I really listened to it. I was moved to tears... life is full of ood things, and there are bad things. But *everything* passes oh so fast. We should enjoy what we have while it lasts, make the best of things. In the words of another great song, "Live like you were dying." |

It seems to me that at least part of this song is talking how people think of celebrities. "Stars" in the first line, seems to be referring to, not burning balls of gas, but celebs. It's talking about how we put them on such a pedestal, how we'd die for a chance of romance with one... and think, what do we turn to when we're down? Our music, which is constantly suggesting how to think. And there's the line, " 'We all want to die like movie stars,' you said as you jumped from the height of our cutting room floor, " which is portraying how we long to die dramatically, in a way the world will remember. |
