It's because a lot of the symptoms of mental illnesses tend to overlap. This song is about autism, but it describes what could be a lot of other disorders as well. I'd say that this song really describes me, as far as the whole avoidant personality thing goes, but you can't really argue with the artist about what their work is about. |

Six Degrees is probably tied with Scenes from a Memory as far as my favorite album goes. This song reminds me of one of my friends who has bipolar disorder. She's not exactly what everyone would call a 'perfect teenage girl' but she's one of the nicest people I've ever met. But sometimes, she'll get really angry for little to no reason then be all happy and funny again the next time we meet like whatever ruined her day never happened. There are a lot of DT dongs I feel I can relate to, but sometimes I just kind of think it might be the vagueness of it all. However, this one definately describes her. |
