Uhm , the lyrics on the demo version that I have aren't the same.. First verse is: Don't come looking for me 'Cause I'll be right here with the words you say I'm looking for the words to say (You know what you did you know) How can anybody forget the promise that you made? And this is how the promise breaks I aways knew you'd fall through And now you're proof. At least that's definately what I hear, and there's a verse 2 but I don't know the whole thing I don't think..Something like: And now you're running from me so close[?] so scared of what you might have said, But no-one's ever looked away 'cos we know what you did, we know, If I told anybody, then we would soon forget your name, And you would never have a place, I always knew you'd fall through and now, you're proof. I actually think that this is much like When It Rains. About a person who has been in a bad situation/depressed, [or along those lines] and pulled through. They can see that someone they love [friend/family etc.] going through a difficult time and giving up on themselves, but the other person is not gonna give up. It's as if they're saying don't give up, you'll pull through, even if it seems you never will, just keep going and you'll make it, like I did.. Maybe? I think that. But obviously it is open to interpretation and depends on what the listener has expeienced in their life as they are likely to link it to a certain thing that has happened to them. |

ninski09 That's kinda what I was meaning. I think it's written to help people realise tha they're not the only ones and people need to open up and realise when they need help. On an interview somewhere i read she said that they were involved with TWLOHA and that they were aware that some of their fans go through similar problems, I don't have the quote but it was along those lines I think. Sorry for this being vague. But I think you're right. Probably alot to do with that. :] |

Sounds like she's saying 'I've realised nothing is ever going to be perfect, but I can keep trying to make it better. I'm not gonna give up. Things hurt, but that's okay, it's normal, I want you to realise this too.' I think it's an amazing song. Both lyrically and the music itself. I love it so much. I could be wrong.. |

Purely an opinion but.. Trying to help someone who has a problem, but they aren't trying to help themselves. "And when it rains, On this side of town it touches, everything." To me this is saying, you have a problem, you're upset, but it upsets us all to see you this way. Running away from everyoe who loves you.. The people who love them are trying to help but every time the person turns and runs. Convincing yourself you don't wanna see the sun anymore. The person knows there is a problem but is trying to cover it up and convince themselves everythig is fine. To me they are saying don't do this to yourself and all of us that can do nothing but watch you let it happen. Derpession probably. Sorry this is long.. And sorry for any typos, my keyboards not good. |
