thanks for the link squidder_kiks_ass nice song, slow but with the same kinda melancholy feel to some of their other songs like 505. to me the songs about how there are people around you who you might never notice, or never talk to but if you did you could realy have something with them. im not sure why but the lines 'well maybe I did and I missed it' seem to sugest he was close to meeting some girl but his mind was on other things so he never got the chance to speak to her. the song could be about a girl alex has noticed or fancies, but he never gets the chance to speak to her. the lines 'to never meet is surely where we're bound' seems like hes saying even tho he wants to things alway seem to mean they never actualy meet up. i especialy like the last line because its as if he realises the futility of it all and how even if at any of the times he had a chance to notice her, she would have been in the same situation he'd been and not notice him anyone else got any thoughts on the meaning? |

i think the dizzee bit might be Smoking, drinking, joyriding, Drugs, thugs, not law-abiding, (but it kinda sounds like he says something about the lure of valium, so im not realy sure) Reckless gangsters no direction, No sign of correction but apart from that i love this song, i duno what it is about the arctics but some of their best new stuff seems to be on b sides and bonus tracks. looking forward to the flurescent adolescent ep. |
