"And this never will be right with me And now you're trying to desperately But I'm tongue tied and terrified of what I'll say But I never told you everything I'm losing hope and fading dreams And every single memory along the way" i was previously stuck in this situation. so here's my take on it. the girl, is trying too hard, to fix what he wants to let go of. and now he's trying to push her away, and he doesn't want to say anything. he knows in the heat of the moment, he's going to say something he doesn't particularly want to. and he's going to regret it. and he's scared of the consequence of that. now he lost hope to keep it going because it's not worth it to him, and he doesn't care to keep the memories glued in his head when he's trying to let go of the situation anyway. kinda long but i honestly believe that's what it means. |

only two comments? dang. well songs are always open to interpretation, mine always seemed to be like he is talking about what's going to happen when he dies. he's telling her he's going to always be there, no matter what bad happens to her, he's going to fight it for her and keep it away. like, their love is going past life, and the ending of life, is just the start of the love hes changing for the new love. |
