This song has always been one of my favorites. Anyway, it DOES seem like the song is referring to an unsure relationship. "Just like the storm that has come out of thin air." meaning when this person has treated you so nicely and has always been there, out of nowhere they betray you or stab you in the back. "Gentle caresses, just as paper thin -frail" pretty straight forward, these are signs of affection but they hardly mean anything (they are thin, frail, unmeaningful) "Fall into open arms that offer their protection." you quickly give in and depend on this person "Quick to deny that their open to deceit. Long to believe that support will never cease." you already have so much faith and trust in this person "The vibrant heart so quickly growing old, the warmest eyes so quickly growing cold." this person changes and has become someone cold, mean, unsupportive I'm sure there a plenty of other meanings but I just wanted to add on to what beefwellington said :p |

this song is so amazing....it's really beautiful. and i've only heard it a few times and i can't get it outta my head....this song means so much to me the song probably refers to a relationship and one of them wants to swap places..he/she wants to fix whatever problem they are going through and see both perspectives. (be running up that hill with no problems) it could also relate to lifting the burden from another(let me steal this moment from you now)..and if only they could trade lives(and if i only could, make a deal with god) |

LOL, at first when i heard this song, i didn't know what she said in the phrase "and i'm gonna miss you like a child misses their.." bacon? WTF?! o.0 then i finally got it :p as for interpretations, i think everyone pretty much got it. it's about her trying to straighten herself out - to become a big girl now. BE INDEPENDENTTT! |
