| Ice Cube – Black Korea Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| we were just learning about this song in my california history class. It's about the conflict between Koreans and African American in the 80s or early 90s. "In the aftermath of the Los Angeles civil unrest (1992) and highly publicized boycotts against Korean American merchants by African American residents in New York (1990) and Los Angeles (1991), the apparent conflict between Korean and African Americans emerged as one of the most visible and explosive issues of urban America." | |
| Jenny Owen Youngs – Fuck Was I Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
I think this song is about her being in love with her best friend, but maybe her best friend is in love with someone else. And she doesn't want to get hurt from this relationship, she can't help it, because it hurts when you love someone and they love someone else (even if they love you too) But she also knows that they are perfect for each other "you know that i've got what you want" Perhaps she's saying "what the fuck was i thinking" because she's thinking (why did i have to fall for you?) I know how she feels, it's just complicated to put it into words. I heard this song on Weeds too, I love it :) |

| Switchfoot – Let That Be Enough Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| i didn`t know this was a god song... i heard it on that disney movie, model behavior, and i really liked it. it`s such a sweet song, but i think of it more as a love song i guess- like you`re alone but all you need it for that one person to be there for you and love you back and you'll be alright. i put this on a CD for my best friend when i made a mix of songs for her. i really love this song, i always sing it :) | |

| No Doubt – Tragic Kingdom Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| such an amazing song... i love it... but somehow i never put together that it is about disneyland, which is wierd cause i go almost every month, but now that i think about it , it does make a lot of sence. i never understod "midgets that disguis themselves as tiny little dwarfs" but now i get it :) yeah thats wierd.. HaHa ok, so around 3:50 in the song all the way to the end when every thing goes crazy and all the trumpets and stuff are going- does anyone else feel like they are hella high and are like being sucked into a vortex and their soul is being sucked out? hah i know that sounds wierd but i feel like that every time i hear this song. great song though very cool No Doubt is the bomb!! | |

Subscription to the spreading of lies Soldier catches a glimpse of his demise Deep down inside even he knows Snakes come in many shapes and sizes snakes have no hands to be tied Concoction of malicious lies deep inside the general despises himself... listen to the flute play another reptile in line Snakes without grass cannot hide such great lines!!! | No Doubt – Sunday Morning Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
this is what i says in the singles cd about this song: "while the fact that it was written on a Sunday morning may be self evident, that was first brought to light in a bathroom is less apparent. More correctly, it was composed of two opposing sides of a locked bathroom door. Penned at Tony's parents' house in Yorba Linda, California, back when he and Gwen were a couple, "Sunday Morning" began with Gwen, sick in the bathroom, screaming 'Go away!' as Tony serenaded her from outside on acoustic guitar. (First line warbled: "Someone is feeling quite ill.") A real romantic interlude? Not exactly. Later, Gwen amended th elyrics to encompass her breakup with Tony and how she'd finallyregained her emotional footing post-separation. The song is a perfect melding of tears and triumph. Today, Tom looks to its perfect fusion of reggae and rock as a breakthrough for the band. With its magnetic drum rolls, it remains one of Adrian's favorites to play on live." (YOU CAN'S ARGUE WITH THAT, CAUSE THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS ON THE CD!) |

| No Doubt – Sunday Morning Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
ok so line by line this is my interpretation : "Sappy pathetic little me That was the girl I used to be" Gwen used to be different and lame and wanted Tony like crazy, and it was pathetic, and she sees that that was lame now. "I'd trade you places any day I'd never thought you could be that way" how he was so sweet and she never saw him so kind. "But you looked like me on Sunday You came in with the breeze On Sunday Morning" Tony looked just as pathetic (like gwen in the bathroom sick, and he tried to make her feel better) "You sure have changed since yesterday Without any warning" Now he's not the same sweet guy as he ws "yesterday" (not really yesterday, but like sometime in the past) "I thought I knew you (x2)I thought I knew you well... so well" gwen thought she knew him, and his new change was so abbrupt she didn't see it comming."You're trying my shoes on for a change They look so good but fit so strange Out of fashion so I can complain" tony is"trying her shoes on" (not literaly, but like walking in someones shoes...you know like he is putting himself in her position) but thats pretty strange for him to do now after the break up. "I know who I am, but who are you? You're not looking like you used to You're on the other side of the mirror So nothing's looking quite as clear" gwen hasn't changed, or she has, but she is awair of that change, but Tony is so different that she doesn't know him anymore, and he's not who he used to be, so nothing is clear for her anymore, because they used to be so close. "Thank you, for turning on the light Thank you, now you're the parasite I didn't think you had it in you And now, you're looking like I used to!" Tony is not who she thought he was and he showed her that (turned on a light). now he is the one that is playing the bad guy (parasite) she didn't think he had it in him to dump her or whatever he did to her, and now he is so pathetic like she used to be ( maybe because he wants her back now) "...And you want me badly You cannot have me..." now she sees his change and doesn't want him back, but he wants her back. |

| ok so insignificant2all_5 is a dumb fuck... but whatever, get a life. anyhow i pretty much agree with deCorAteDemergency life its about being the true you, and not being phoney. but the buyer in the sky is not God, "the buyer in the sky" is like the rest of his peers, or society, its like asking will everybody like the real me? | |
