i think it is about apathy and lack of compassion. people say how crushed they are to think of these terrible deaths but, honestly, don't care. the media glamorizes it by throwing it in you face for a week, but they couldn't care less, just for their own ratings. |

i saw the first page of comments and was shocked when no one thought of a different concept until shinedown said something. then, that's what everyone wanted to believe. my word, the power of suggestion..
but in my opinion, its about a past lover who comes to him when she has no one else. he knows that she is just using him as her safety net, someone to cry to and tell her shes beautiful when she doesn't truly return those feelings, but he loves her too much to refuse. its better to disillusion himself into thinking that she loves him instead of turning her away. |

i don't really know what Oasis was trying to say about this song, but a friend of mine recently went to rehab. i've been in love with him for a long time but i won't tell him because i don't want to get involved with him because of his habits, so this song speaks volumes to me. Every single line means something. |

i think it's pretty self-explanatory in saying that so many people think that they can have forgiveness from God when they just keep doing the same things over and over. it's about true repentance,rue reentance being asking for forgiveness and trying not to sin again. |

i think this dude has a terrible secret. i think maybe his past haunts him. it eats away at him, destroying him. it's too big for him to control. the "backpack" segment makes me think of something he carries with him and just can't shake. |
