I love this song. It's funny- so many people have different interpretations of it. Others claim to know what it's about...period. An anonymous girl on LJ the other day brought it up when leaving a comment somewhere, and said it was about Michelle Branch. lol I do remember the guys saying it was about a hooker, which made me laugh. lol But, that's always what I got from it too...since the first time I heard the song. I agree with you, Svimmelhet. It strikes me as Pretty Woman set to a song, too. |

Awesome song. :) It's amazing what Taylor's voice can do to me. lol Something about him pleading in a song is sexy. I think this song is pretty self-explanatory. Like potterhead said, it's basically a guy saying...."I know I was an ass, but please don't leave me." lol I also agree with butt dance x2. The lyrics are sad, and imply a broken relationship. What I find great about the song is this. Even though it sounds like a break-up song, it's very upbeat. It makes me want to get up and dance every time I hear it. Hot, hot song. I feel like telling the girl he's referring to..."Awww, honey. He's sorry. Forgive him." lol |

I love your interpretation.
I think this song is about misleading someone, to the point where they can't take it anymore. The girl finally leaves the guy, feeling either confused or underappreciated. He didn't want to deal with his feelings, and he's on the verge of losing her. Now, he realizes he needs her. And, he's begging her to stay because he's coming to terms with it. |

This is one of Taylor's best songs vocally. I completely agree, and this is a great song. They have said this is about God, but I think it's about more than one thing. I remember someone told me that when Taylor was on MTV's TRL in Italy or something doing an interview, he said it was about God. But, then later in the same interview, he said it was about true love. He's always changing his answers. lol So, I think it might be about both. I can see the connection to being about a girl, and how she's everything to him. But, I can also see the connection to God- in that everything he does and the decisions he makes, are influenced by his faith and relationship to God. Regardless, it's an amazing song. I do think it has a double meaning, though. |

This is an amazing song, and probably my second favorite song on The Walk album.
I think this is a song that has a variety of interpretations. I can definitely see it as a man at war with himself, including being addicted to a drug. Especially with the line...
"I get my fix for the last time
One more trip to the other side"
I remember hearing somewhere, they wrote this song about the struggle with IDJ. If that's true, it definitely comes across especially with the line, "Sign on the dotted line." That can be in reference to them finally breaking free and going on their own.
All in all, it's hard to tell. There are so many things this song could be about. And, it's possible it's about a mixture of concepts. |

Joy told her that this song and Then Slowly Grows (Come To Me) were both written during filming of 209. This is a beautiful song, and Joy's voice is absolutely angelic as always. I do think you can see this song in more than one way, and I can definitely see the connection to God. |

letterstonoelle, I'm pretty sure I heard this was about Bleu and his wife. I'm not sure how true that is, but it makes sense.
This is a very sad song, but it's beautiful. I'm not really a huge fan of Zac's voice. I think he has a great voice, and I like that they're splitting leads now. It gives the band a new dynamic, and some variety. But, it's not my preference. However, I think he does an excellent job with this song. |

This is one of my favorite Hanson songs. I just absolutely love the electric version on the Underneath album. Taylor really shows his vocal talent in this song, and what he's made of.
I think this is a song about the uncertainty and anxiety at the beginning of a relationship. The guy is nervous, and not really sure if she wants him or not. Because, she's sending mixed signals. It seems to be about the nerves of dating.
To shakespeare109, I don't think anyone really has an answer to that. People have drawn their own conclusions. But, as with most of the songs on Underneath, the song was written around 2001. Which was towards the beginning of his relationship with Natalie, since they started dating in late 2000. I do think it was sweet of him to dedicate it to her. Some people think he wrote it about her, and some think he wrote it, not necessarily with her in mind. It depends on your own perspective. I mean, he still dedicates songs to her, but they're not necessarily about her. I remember him dedicating "I've Been Down" to her at a preview show last year, and he said it was because she just really loved the song. |

I think it's one of those songs that has a double meaning. He may have written it about his friend and what happened to him. But, I think it COULD have been inspired by what happened with Britney. Whether he's over the situation or not, the song basically screams Britney in certain lines. Such as...
"You had me in the palm of your hand.
So, why your love went away?"
"You spend your nights alone and he never comes home
And every time you call him, all you get's a busy tone
I heard you found out that he's doing to you what you did to me
Ain't that the way it goes?"
I don't think it's necessarily ABOUT Britney, but I do think it was partially inspired by her. |

People have claimed and her entire album is about Taylor, MegBuffFan. But, it's actually never even been proven whether they had a relationship or not. It's just a rumor that is still speculated on. A lot of people have actually claimed the album is about Matt, Brann. Nobody really knows how true either of those stories are.
That's what I've heard too, penny. I get that message from the song. I think Michelle actually talked about it in a few interviews, when the album came out. I think it's about her traveling around, and writing songs on whatever she can find- hence, "hotel paper," since she's going to different places all the time. |

I'm pretty sure I read that Natalie's parents got divorced, before she met Taylor. But, that doesn't really matter. Zac and Kate got married in Georgia, but Isaac and Nikki got married in Tulsa. Someone asked Taylor on a walk in the fall, if he wrote this song for his wife. He said he had, albeit begrudgingly. He admitted it. And, he's been heard referring to her as "Georgia" at concerts. Someone told me that they went to a concert, where Natalie was walking around talking to fans. Then, she was talking to Taylor later, he called her "Georgia," and she started laughing. But, this song is definitely about her. It's basically saying that no matter what, he'll always be there for her, and he loves her. I think this song is about the troubles and problems that every relationship goes through, and not giving up. Like you know it's hard and rough at times, but you don't give up. The line "Georgia, I'll be chasing you the rest of my life," I think is a great line. Because, Taylor has always talked about in interviews how he went after Natalie. It's a flawless, beautiful, very sweet song. |

I have always loved Boyz II Men, and this song reiterates why. This is an amazing love song. I have it in my music library, and I can listen to it several times in a row. Yes, it's a very sad song. But, it is such a beautiful R&B song. What I get from it is that this girl breaks up with someone for another guy. But, her ex is letting her know that he still loves her regardless- that he always will. It's a sad song, but really great. |

I have this song, and it's beautiful. I have always loved Britney and her music. I still do, regardless of how others feel about her. I love her voice, even though it may not be the strongest out there. However, it's my opinion that she can sing. One of the things I love the most about her is her ability to produce songs like this. These songs can really touch people out there, and help them. It's important to make these types of songs. I wish there were more of them. But, I must agree. If you don't like Britney, why are you wasting your time making bad comments about her? I don't get that, but that's just me. |

You know, sweetxkissezx05, I was thinking the same thing. I do get the vibe that in this song, it's trying to say that it's okay to cheat on the guy- that he's partially to blame. In some cases, that's true. In some cases, it's not. However, that doesn't make me like the song any less. I have this song, and it's really catchy. It's a great song, but I can see maybe why it wasn't released- IF it was about Justin. Good Britney song. |
