i doubt hes dissing religion, thats just not wat korns about. im catholic, and rather religious, and i dont see any any really anti religious korn lyrics. moving on,
the song seems to be about how we're allowing ourselves to go backward instead of forward. we're over populating the planet, and just allowing ourselves to be stupid in favor of money and fun, and just leave it to others to advance in knowledge. but the problem is that EVERYONE leaves it to the other people, and no ones gonna help us advance at all. |

any hoo, i think its about goin through highschool and looking at all the social groups: the nerds (our little group has always been and allways will untill the end) the anorexic little popular kids that think theyre better then every 1 and make fakes of themselves (And I forget just why I taste Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile) and the outcasts (i found its hard its hard to find o well whatever never mind)
i feel that the line that the line our little group has always been etc. represents nerds due to the fact that most nerds such as myself have a small group of friends that their close with. and that connection will always last.
the line "i forget just y i taste" seems to represent the popular kids due to the fact that they just follo along with the crowd so much that they forget who they are. rather sad acctually.
then theres the line "i find its hard its hard to find etc." I feel it represents the out casts due to the fact that they have great ideas, but they are just afraid of rejection, so they dont share their ideas.
any way, this is just my opinion. feel free to contradict me in any way. |

i think its about either the fairy kings conquest of rhye, or god desending upon rhye to restore order to it.
there is no doubt in my mind that the songs "my fairy king" "7 seas of rhye" and "lily of the valley" are about freddy realizing the terrors of man kind, and his perfect imaginary world known as rhye falling apart. |

i actually see a connection between the "queen" songs and the rhye songs. its possible that a high powered citizen of rhye (possibly the fairy king) falls in love with the white/black queen of a foreign nation. but by the time he understands that she was using him to get closer to invading rhye, its too late. the great nation of rhye has fallen because this person was blinded by love. |

ziggy is the quintessential rock star. he is loved by the youth, and probably hated by the adults. he has skills like no other. but his ego swells, and he thinks hes god. but in the end this thought of invincibility kills him, when he dies due to an overdose on drugs. the band cant go on without him, and they break up. the world is a lesser place because they werent able to make the music they could have if ziggy lived. the actions of ziggy changed the world in a bad way. |

its about a guy who saved the world by going into the future and stopping some kind of apocaliptic event. on the way back he is either turned to steel or horribly disfigured. when he gets back, he is hated, so he reverses his work to stop the apocoylips and begins it. an awesome song thats basicly telling us to listen to what people say dispite their appearences, or it will come back to haunt you |

i think the rhye songs have 3 possible orders / meanings
my first theory is also the most popular: it starts with my fairy king, where rhye is invaded and thrown into chaos. then 7seas of rhye comes in and an invader takes over rhye and brings an end to the kingdom of the fairy king. then, in lily of the valley, rhye slowly gets destroyed and all its magic is lost.
then theres my second and favorite theory. it still starts with fairy king, with the same meaning. BUT then lily of the valley comes in with rhye becoming lawless and in a state of shock. then its 7 seas of rhye where the narrator is god and he brings order to rhye.
now my 3rd and final theory. it starts with 7 seas in which the fairy king is narrator and the song describes his conquest of the land. then in my fairy king, his kingdom is destroyed and in lily of the valley he is over thrown.
these are just my theorys and any one can feel free to contradict me. i think all of these theories describe how freddies fairy tale life is ending and he's realizing the evil of the earth. |
