i feel like this song is basically the aftermath of the night before. she comes home all confused and dillusional, perhaps due to drugs or a drinking binge. she's trying to kill the pain inside, regardless of how physically/mentally numb she actually is. "senses" could mean either reasoning skills (like common sense) or touch, taste, etc... when she talks about getting kicked in the head, it could just be her acting all freaky from the drugs, causing her to misbehave and make bad decisions. "a lady in need is guilty indeed so i paid and got laid in return" ^ i think her state of mind was all off from substance abuse and she got taken advantage of, which would probably teach her a pretty big lesson about using drugs and drinking. great song, nice hook, wonderful message. |
