Can't every girl relate to this song? I especially like "his eyes were way too close together." Hilarious. And all the parts with "I don't ever..." It makes you realize how uncrazy you are when you hear everyone has the same sort of problems. |

I'm feeling that Lindsay. It actually does sound like a parent child relationship. I was thinking mother daughter you know. But in general parent-child fo sho. |

I could see the cutting thing, fur shure. Like: Well if ya can't leave it be, might as well cut yourself. But not him. Its like he's talking about someone else. Someone "tired of the fight." Anyways my most favorite-est line ever: "Call off the quarantine, can't save the rest from me." Frickin hott. |

Well, before I read that its about a father and son, I thought it was about a woman trying to force a guy to marry her. Yeah. The "making knots." like 'tying the knot.' "He whistles and he runs so hold him fast He might succumb to what you haven't seen" Showing her force while he tries to run. And the whole "cadaverous mob" bit I thought was just a metaphor for other married men. I think its funny how you can...or at least I can totally misinterpret the meaning of song so easily. And I also thought he was saying "nursing an erection." haha. |

Ok. so before I read what other people thought of the song {brilliant song}, I just thought that this song was about an ex, who he kind of harshly calls "past dinner," as he's "raping all around" himself with other chicks. and yes the 200 couches were a statement of how she wasn't gonna be in his bed. But THEN. I saw these rape claims; date rape claims, and I laughed to myself. Read the lyrics all over again with date rape in mind and it fit hilariously. "200 couches" trying to sound inviting, but she's probably so out of it she won't notice there aren't actually 200. its' a "grim rite" for her to get IT. "But you cannot safely say while I will be away That you will not consider sadly how you helped me to stray" she was a little 'loosey goosey' so she can't help but blame herself for what happens. hilarious. |

I just wanted to say about that part: "And the complications when I see His face In the morning in the window" is there maybe because he thought God wasn't there to help save her (or him?) [[but nothing ever happens]], but then he sees a sign, maybe that reminds him, He was always there, and He knows what He's doing. Also, about this song being about a guy...I dunno...maybe...but, I just can't see a guy being "scared" of his father because of what they did. Especially not a guy telling another guy that he's scared... I'm not gonna say I couldn't see a guy wearing a blouse, because...yeah I could probably see that. haha. |
