I think we can all relate to this song. Whether we get hurt in a relationship, have something wrong with your health, or you're just depressed. Everyone can relate to this song so easily. I know I can. I've got epilepsy, and sometimes I just wish that I was "bulletproof". I just wish that I didn't have to take meds everyday, and worry about some of the limitations it presents towards my life. That's what this song means to me. |

I used to live in Hamilton, which is very close to Holland. The lyrics really remind me of Holland and that area. Especially when he talks about the factories, etc. |

To me, it seems like its an attack at those crazy over religious people who are always out on the street corner yelling things like,"God hates gays," etc. While Anthony realizes that God loves everyone. He loves everyone equally. I learned about this kinda stuff in church. Those people that are saying God hates gays, are the real sinners. Anthony is trying to tell the truth about God.... in a very loud kinda way. hes really trying to get his point across... however thats my view on it. |

I kinda think the bowling pins reference is kind of talking about the bowling pin factory that used to be in Kalamazoo, MI.(correct me if Im mistaken). Kalamazoo not that far away from Grand Rapids which is where Anthony was born, and i only lived about 20 minutes away from Grand Rapids in Hamilton Michigan for the first ten years of my life. |
