well i think if it were about sex, "i'll dry your last tear" would be a really unromantic line. i should hope she's not crying! :P but that's an interesting interpretation. I also see it as a dying together with your love (kinda following the theme from Dear Bobby on this album), and the words do make it seem like the world's ending. But personally it makes me think about Yellowcard "going on hiatus," as they call it. YC is my all time favorite band, i'm still mourning that they went their separate ways. But this song makes me think of what their last performance wouldve been like... ugghh i never got to see them live. | |

lol i like how most people have to opposite interpretations: either it's two people who like each other but can't say the words, or it's a couple that isn't saying something that should be said... maybe it's just me but i see it as the latter. ive had this song for ages but havent listened to it in so long... i wish i had remembered it a while ago. omg i am in love with this song. so much emotion.... it makes sense that it's about his grandfather... but I interpret it as being about a girl who has a troubled relationship with her father, and this guy is there to fill in the gaps in her life. but then the father dies and she feels guilty ("He's not longer with us but he left this dusty room, In your name and it's an honor, it's a shame but it's your honor, Take it on your shoulder 'til you can find another"). |

wow, I heard this song on the radio for the first time, and it just described every emotion i had right then. I've been listening to it on repeat all day, I am in complete love with it. To me, the girl's going to New York to find herself & follow her dreams, and he's waiting for her, hoping she'll find success & be happy, but also hoping that she'll come back to his love. My dream college is NYU, and right now I'm kinda in love with this guy.... but we arent together anymore because I need to focus on school. and he's staying in this boring city for college. :P But I imagine him singing this to me before I leave, lol. >. |

this is one of the sweetest/saddest songs on here. I love that first verse too... :D but I think it might be talking about a loved one who's gone to war, and they're asking them to "Come Home".... "the fight for you is all i've ever known," they're saying that's the only war that matters to them "everything I cant be is everything you should be" is asking them to be brave, cuz the singer cant be..... and just all the references to love and hate and war and peace.... its awesomeness |
