I listened to this song expecting to hate it but i actually really like it, something about it struck something in me that i was feeling at the time. Does it really matter if she is cutting herself or not? All i can say is that the rest of the lyrics are blunt in the song - and that whether she is or is is irrelevant - its still a nice song (and yes i know my arguement would be plausible if i could spell) |

When i first heard this song the opening lyrics made me think of Sylvia Plath as we had just learnt about her in school and after recently reading the bell jar it really does remind me of her... ace sound, sounds terrible i know but can't help it. |

This is one of the most beautiful songs ive ever heard. It sounds weird but it makes my heart flutter - never knew it was about suicide though. I always imagined it was about someone refelcting on a holiday or a time he spent with friends whilst he's alone and feeling low. oh well. It's an amazing song. |

I listened to thing song alot whilst i was in Berlin on the S-Bahn missing my boyfriend terribly - so 'the city lights just blur' has a different meaning to me but the song is beautiful - about love and combined with the music its so soothing - tranquil love |

The thing i love about this band is that the music ties in with the simple lyrics - it's easy to see what they are talking about in this song maybe, but the music coalesces with the lyrics perfectly to create the emotions and the transcience of it all. Beautiful. I have loved minus the bear for 2 years now and they will be big - amazing. |

I know it sounds weird but i can't help thinking this song has an under-lying alcohol meaning with mentioning the 'sleeping' and 'barely' and it could be about how he's with a girl he likes but she's hurting him and after a few drink the boundries are falling down and he's getting into turmoil about her. Its a lovely song though - it really hit something with me when i first heard it. |

I really do feel these songs have under-lines of negative drug use... but i really like this song - its so beautiful... i feel its about drinking, being cast out by family, depression, part of a group of friends who have the same problems... i don't know... oh well. |

I can understand why people think there are sexual undertones but i feel that it's not just about that. It's my favourite jealous sound song - i feel alot of the album deals with drug use/depression/unstability. i feel that he's talking about a girl he's with that he wants her to trust him and have faith in him but it's sort-of deluded by the drug use.
But anyway - i feel that that could be the case - i don't want to suggest exactly because the song is one of my favourites and it's so perfect and meaningful to me... the band are amazingly talented. |
