No, he didn't. First of all, whether a girl is retarded or not, having sex with her, or planning to, doesn't exactly make it rape. And secondly, you all need to stop referring to Cross' book like it's gospel. Just because something was written in there doesn't mean it's the perfect depiction of events. It's a brilliant book, but lot of people who were close to Kurt at the time avoided talking to Cross, and have since criticised it for apparently just being Courtney Love's version of events. |

In my opinion, the saddest, and most beautiful, song in the world. Gets me every time. So so powerful, and perfect lyrics. |

i think it's about relying on someone else, needing them. it seems quite a sexual song to me personally, he needs someone else's dominance. he needs their harshness, their put downs, their discipline, lol. it's just a thought, i think i might have only come to this conclusion because of who introduced me to the song. it's weird, it just sorta reminds me of us now, so that's what i've come up with. it's about needing this other person's discipline in order to feel, i dunno, relevant? productive? whatever... awesome song, i'm a tad obsessed. |

| Bloc Party – Hunting for Witches Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Instead of being directly about terrorism, I think this song is comparing the way in which our country is reacting to terrorism, to the reckless witch hunts that were prevalant in the ...15th century? | |

I love this song so much. To me , it's more about how the family were treated wrongly, and how their Dad has ended up with nothing, because he has lost the love of his family through his actions. And they're saying they will stand by their Mother and protect her always. The lyric "He walked out a selfish man With your heart still beating in his hands But he could never ever break it He just broke himself" is one of the best I've heard in a long time. Great song. |

I think that, specifically with the section "They say a watched pot won't ever boil Well I closed my eyes and nothing changed Just some water getting hotter in the flames." he is talking about being in a situation and maybe thinking 'all things happen for a reason'. many people say that you have to leave things alone and let them go as they are meant to go on. But if something you want to avoid is left alone, it will get worse and worse: "getting hotter in the flames" and I think "can't raise a baby on motor oil" refers to having patience. |
