Hm, I think in this trent is battling with his old self (from the downward spiral) because he references the song hurt (thank you mycroft for noticing that) and Its seems like he feels like hes slipping but throughout the song he overcomes what he used to be and with the lines put the gun in my mouth close your eyes blow my fucking brains out and with this its just him saying he has killed his old self, and he can finaly be away from it all, but wihtout that side of him he still has lost alot of feeling...anyways thats my opinion, And im going to have to say either Broken or The Fragile we're the best albums he made. |

| the first time i heard this i thought about cops and authority but than i heard the album "and all that could have been" and at the beggining of the song he sais something along the lines of "hey you pigs" so yeah i cant remember who said it but its most likely about us the fans who would do anything just to own something that trent touched or just say hi to the dude and all that, its probly about those insane Hardcore fans, but personaly i think this song is about society where everyone just kinda of fights over the smallest things and once you realise whats going on you sort of "peel the skin back" and your just feeling better beacause you can see what things really are...anyways yeah thats all i got to say. peace. | |

| Ok your all very close to bieng correct, this song is infact about Kurts old girlfreind Tracy, and he did write this beacause she asked him why he wrote about everything in his life but her, and she threatened to throw him out to test his love, the line "I can't see you every night, free" refers to the arguments they had frequently about Kurt not cleaning their apartment or doing anything on his to do lists that Tracy had left him, and if you dont believe me go buy the book "Heavier Than Heaven" go out and buy it anyways, its a really amazing book about Kurt. have a nice day everyone | |
