a few points! As if a new born baby will ever be de-humanised!!! A baby will always be the most loved aspect of any family, the is just something amazing about a baby! BUT a mother still should have the right to not have a baby. Its a typically naieve christian attitude to say 'if you dont want kids, dont have sex'. Sex is one of the greatest things you can do on earth and you only get 50ish years to enjoy sex (and your LIFE) and thast it your dead! So to try to deny sex to people as dehumanising as anything!
As i said life is short, and you get one, so why a mother should be 'saddled' with a baby from a father who may have left her or want nothing to do with the child. Imagine a woman accidentaly got pregnant at 18, she is a mature woman and there is hundred reasons why she may have gotten pregnant, without abortion she would have ot have this child and for the next 25+ years devote her life to raising it. She would miss her entire 20's and 30's the most formative years of your life. Abortion would take one 'life'; in most cases birth would take 2 lives - the mothers and the baby who may not be born into a loving family environment.
Contrary to the lyrics of the song, babies are not 'living breathing' in the womb, the lungs do not even develop unitl well into the 8th month, by this time abortion is impossible anyway! Breathing by definition involves the lungs. Foetuses may respire....?
To bring the holocaust of the jewish people into the debate is immoral, an abortion does not take place in a gas chamber, in a pool with someones foot on your head, using a gun or a noose.
Oh yeah, and the Idiot who responded something like 'look his name is fucking GOD not G_d' , look not everybody is a christin mug like yourself. G_d may represent the lack of religious belief in the posters life or *gasp* maybe they are not christian! They may be Muslim...or Jewish? and *gasp* guess what? They dont believe in you or YOUR God. Get some perspective people!
