There was someone who wrote in the beginning of this thread that "preps and jocks can't understand this song 'cause they're not being bullied" Well, did this song ever say it was written about being fucked around with at school? The "preps" and "jocks" might as well be abused at home or something and then let it out on the "weaker ones" at school.That's the way it usually is in a lot of cases of bullying. Either that or the bully is an immature dick, but anyway, back to my thing about abuse at home. This song could've been written about, for example, a child being abused by it's parent. "I wanna kill and rape you the way you raped me", the parent's fucked you up so bad that you've somehow died, on some level and has mindraped you (or maybe even actually done it). This is one song that can be read in a lot of different ways. |

I haven't really read what anybody else has said about the song since there's so many comments, so i'll just write my own unbiased (?) thoughts of the song.
I think of needing to be the rock for a person (friend, sibling, parent, girl or boyfriend, someone you truly care for, you know), and you've done this for quite some time but you're at your breaking point and everything just gets even worse then it already is. I also think there is a side story by the bridge about trying to fake and be a different person just to feel accepted by everyone, but realizing that you just can't fool everyone 'cause they see right through you, i dunno. It's just what i think when i hear the song. |
