Guns N' Roses – November Rain Lyrics 18 years ago
I have always loved this song, there is so much depth and the riseing surging passion is a mirror of how life can be. Strange how the lyrics kinda apply to me now though. :(
My last relationship ended really badly, didn't see it coming, I was completely, utterly in love and was devestated when it ended. Felt like someone had taken a sledghammer to my soul.
I've now meet this really great guy and know he would do anything for me. Can't seem to let him in close though, still too much pain. I know it's not fair on him, but I should have realised I wasn't ready to start dating again. I understand the bit about holding a candle in the rain, who wants to stay and hang around for all that. Maybe time to be alone for a while, let the scars fade. X

Muse – The Small Print Lyrics 18 years ago
This song makes me think about someone selling their soul. It's easy for someone to say take all you need. In the modern world of consumerism, how many people only take what they need? Ever been convinced to take the free item you don't need that comes with a product?
The reference to selling the memories for 15 pound per year states that people are selling themselves short. If you could pay to have all those good memories back, what would you be willing to offer? Be aware of the value fo what you're trading with.
I also think thought should be given to the line: i'm the priest God never paid. If someone is happy doing gods work, spreading the word they should not need to be compensated in a monetary way for it anyway? Any true priests will be aware they'll recieve their ultimate reward in heaven.
A lot has to be said of faith. those with it are among the richest people in the world. Don't let anyone talk you into thinking it's worthless. X
