personally this song is about growing up and watching your whole life change. When I hear it all I can think about is the kids that I was friends with back in the day and how they have changed so much. I wonder were I was when they first tried drugs. Or either of us went through some significant change in our live. And the line "slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball" relates to how life can seem to move so fast and yet so slow. As for the chorus that relates to how eventually we all end up in the same spot, six feet under. But that is just my perspective. |

this song makes me cry everytime. The way she says I'm OK is heartbreaking. This song really inspired me to rise above my past. Christina is an amazing artist and an inspiration to all who have survived domestic violence. |

this song is amazing. It obviously is about how her father gave her a distorted look upon men; but now she has finally found the "right man". The last line, about how her little girl will know she found the right man, tears me apart. I also have father issues and hope that I too find the right man so my little girl won't have to feel how I do. |

| Coldplay – Fix You Lyrics

I'm a dancer and my group is doing a lyrical dance to this song. The way our choreographer took it was and adult/child relationship. Where the parent is constantly breaking, because of desease/alcohol/drug/etc., and the child has to take on th role of the parent and try to fix the adult.
Personally, I think it is about someone who loves someone who is self-destructive and all that person wants to do is make the person they love happy again, but they see them slipping away. |
