| X-Ray Spex – Identity Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's partially based on Poly seeing a girl slash her wrists in a club bathroom. | |
| The Pierces – Turn on Billie Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think Billie is Billie Holiday. Perhaps. | |
| Regina Spektor – Laughing With Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This song is so wonderful!!! Ahhh, I can't wait for the new album. | |
| Atom and His Package – If You Own the Washington Redskins You're a Cock Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
I haven't heard this song yet, but the lyrics are really great. Pretty sure it's about how racist the name the "Redskins" is. Because, you know, people would throw a fit if there was a team called the Negroes or anything like that, but they don't say anything when it's racist towards Native Americans. Wonderful. |

| Blink-182 – Easy Target Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Does anyone know if there's any significance to the name Holly? They use it in this song and in "All of This". | |
| The Queers – Stupid Fucking Vegan Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
They'd die because they're stupid? What sense does that make? Won't even the smartest person die eventually? I'm pretty sure living or dying has nothing to do with intelligence. And if cows exist for our consumption, doesn't that mean that all other animals do too? NO, because animals are not ours. They don't belong to us. Humans are the species that needs to die off. But ANYWAY, I think this song seems more like they're hating on the hippie stereotype rather than vegans in general. You know hippies and punks don't get along haha. |

| Kimya Dawson – I Like Giants Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Agh, this song is amazing. It kind of reminds me of this song from Animaniacs that went, "It's a great big universe/and we're all really puny./We're just tiny little specks/about the size of Mickey Rooney." =] Does anyone know where I can find music or anything from Geneviève? I've found 2 mp3s, but that's all I can find! |

| Electrocute – Bikini Bottom Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
gosh, everywhere i've seen these lyrics online, they've been horribly wrong! i've been working on deciphering them myself, but i keep getting stuck on the french part! here's what i've got so far though: There's a party in Bikini Bottom Are you ready? I'm ready! We're ready! We're ready-eady-eady, go! Deep, deep down in the bottom of the sea (Water, water, oh, water, water) Where the fishes swim around is where I wanna be (Water, water, oh, water, water) Oh, how I wish you were ten thousand miles deeper! Swim with scuba suits and flippers on our feet And we could flip-flop, scuba-bop, shake it baby, just don't stop Bikini Bottom! There's no other place that I'd rather go Just a-sluggin' around on the ocean floor! This is even better than a TV show! We're like Jacques (Jacques), Jacques (Jacques), Jacques Cousteau And we flip-flop, scuba-bop, shake it baby, just don't stop Bikini Bottom! And we flip-flop, scuba-bop, shake it baby, just don't stop Bikini Bottom! Yeah, flip-flop, scuba-bop, shake it baby, just don't stop Bikini Bottom! Soakin' like a sponge and swimmin' in your britches (britches!) Doin' what you can to get the jellyfish kisses (kisses!) Back seat, submarine, with the starfishes (fishes!) |

| Regina Spektor – Buildings Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"He was a husband who drove his wife home drunk from the parties He was a husband who drove his wife home And in the car he would lean her head gently against the side door window And in the bathroom he would hold her hair back and hope, saying;" ok, it's definitely about a man and his alcoholic wife, no questions. and he'd try his best to help her out when she got drunk... "Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings So tall these days" i think that this part is kind of like them both having hope that she'll get better...like "oh, they build buildings so tall these days, anything is possible." since there was once a time when it was thought that buildings couldn't reach more than one thousand feet...so since that was proven wrong, they believe that she could someday get better. "And in the morning she'd wake up and crouch recollections all day But she would always always wake up the next morning He'd take one look at her a say "Oh, oh it's okay" And her conscience would issue yet another last warning, saying;" so she'd wake up the next morning and never die from it, and her husband would tell her it's ok, but she'd still feel guilty and tell herself that it's the last time she can do that. "Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings So tall these days" agiain, having hope that she'll get better... "And she would ask for time And she'd ask for time And she'd ask for time And she'd ask for time And she would beg for time And she’d beg for time And call it a gift And he would give her time And he'd give her time And he’d give her time And he'd give her time But time is not given and time is not taken It just sifts through its sift But time is not given and time is not taken It just sifts through its sift" and she'd say that she just needs a little more time and she'll get better, and her husband would agree to give her some more time, but it doesn't really make a difference. "Sifts through its sift Just sifts through its sift Oh, Oh ooooo Sifts through its sift Just sifts through its sift" time is just passing, and she doesn't get any worse or any better. "And it was coffee and coffee and coffee and coffee and coffee And coffee some more He'd go to work and she'd take a sick day and rot at the core And by the time he came back she'd scrub the bathrooms and make them smell like pine It would be almost as if nothing had happened And he'd give her time Oh, oh, and he’d give her time saying:" they'd drink coffee in the morning, he'd go to work, and she'd stay home with her hangover, thinking that she shouldn't drink so much...he'd come home, she'd clean, trying to act like everything was normal and it never happened, and he'd give her another chance. "Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh don't they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh they build buildings Oh, they build buildings so tall these days And she would ask for time And she’d ask for time And she’d ask for time She’d beg for time And she would beg for time And she’d beg for time And call it a gift And he would give her time And he'd give her time And he’d give her time And he'd give her time But time is not given and time is not taken It just sifts through its sift But time is not given and time is not taken It just sifts through its sift" more hope that she'll get better, asking for more chances, it still doesn't make much of a difference. "Oh sifts though its sift, Sifts through its sift Oh oooo Oh sifts through its sift Sifts through its sift" still not getting better... "He was a husband drove time Home, time, car Oh core Cores the day Core coffee Core warning Last warning Was a husband Time pine Scrub scrub Bathroom Lean hair back Car window Hope Time give Don't they build buildings so tall these days" then i think she realizes that she's been given too many chances and she can't get any better, so she gives up hope and kills herself, and all the words at random are her life flashing through her mind, and her last thought is "Don't they build buildings so tall these days?" because that was what she and her husband would say, and i think she definitely jumped off a building to kill herself. my interpretation...i've thought about this song for quite a while =]] |

| Electrocute – Nobody likes us Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"Did you meet my boyfriend? God he is such a bore, He looks a bit like Elvis after 1974 Life is full of wankers, they always make a fuss But we hate everybody as much as they hate us" Haha I love that part. The song is pretty much self-explanitory... about how no one likes them because they're never satisfied. |
