i think it's about a guy realizing after his break-up how much he changed "i need to start to be myself, becuase i'm sick of everybody else." and that he was deeply affected by what went on but no matter what happened, he'll be okay in the end. and i think this part is completely sarcastic: "i guess you were better off without me."...maybe i'm wrong and maybe i'm right, but no matter what, this song is amazing! |

This song seems like it's almost a fairy tale. "And everything is so gorgeous. But I can't stay here not today, not tomorrow." Like it's not real, so they can't stay there. |

the way I interpreted this song, is the guy wants to be with this girl more than anything. but for some reason or another she can't or won't stay with him. maybe she has commitment issues cuz that's what I think this part means "Well don't waste time getting to the point, cause I'm, I'm patiently waiting
For your next phone call, your next excuse for losing sleep again". maybe i'm totally off, but that's what i think
