this song is simply amazing. i didnt like it at first, but after the last time i saw them, its been one of my favs. i havent completely figured out what its about, yet. but im working on it. it could be about an old relatioship, and how he's looking back on it and how he's realizing, and possibly accepting, that its over. but at the same time, he's saying 'its better to have loved and lost, then never loved at all'. something along those lines. |

absolutely amazing song. i love it. im not completely sure whether she's talking about how she's waiting for something to happen and it isnt happening, but she's not giving up on it. or if she's talking about not giving up on her current relationship [not necessarily a romantic relatioship] just because its getting hard. but either way, its obviously about her not giving up. |

my fav song off the album. its definitely relateable. i think its about how they arent listening to their heads, when they know being together is wrong. and how one of them is tired of always getting blamed for everything that goes wrong, and they want the other person to start taking responsibility. but then again they know its because the relationship isnt going to work, no matter how much they love the other person. i agree with heckyeahitsanna, about the way we almost like to hurt over people we really care for. i think it has a lot to do with that, too. |

this is an amazing song. i tihnk the songs about trying to tell someone that you dont like to see them hurt. and trying to tell someone that when they hurt it hurts everone. it could pssibly be trying to convince someone out of commiting suicide. kindof a 'if you wont do it for you, then do it for me' thing, i think, with the "so why cant you stay just long enough to explain". idk..that's just my opinion. this song could be interprited in so many different ways. |

i think the whole idea of the song is that they saved eachother. the 'heroine' thing, in my opinion, does refer to the drug. like she's his drug, and he can't live without her. but it also refers to the female hero. because she saved him. when i first listened to this song, it wasnt my favorite. but when i saw them, i asked martin what his favorite song on the album was, and he said it was this one. since then, i've been inlove with it. |

this song is an incredible closer. boys like girls is definitely going places. they deserve every ounce of attention they get. this song is pretty self-explanitory, like most of their songs. its about a guy who isnt happy with some of the things he's done. and he's decided that he needs "a new start" before he hurts anyone else. in a lot of ways, the meaning reflects 'The Great Escape'. he just wants to be anywhere but where he is. |

this is going to sound like everyone else, but this band is amazing. i saw them back in march, and they were incredible. this song, and the whole show, was amazing. i think this song is about a guy who lost his "summer" love. and he just wants to let her know that he will always love her. the last line. "and listen to the thunder" is my favorite line ever. it gets me everytime. |
