Well. I'v heard that this is a religious band that bases most of their lyrics around the existance of god and all that jazz. also there are alot of lines that can be linked to religion such as "your apologies accepted" and "time will tell" BUT. but...Through my eyes, it's all about having an open mind and being willing enough to let people in weather they are a friend, a family member or a lover. "it takes faith for moving mountains" It takes something small such as not pushing someone away (or to have faith in them) to create something large such as comfortability and reliability. then again. all songs mean alot more personally than they do collectively, so please please please. try to say what it means to you and not what it means. Full stop. the end. give the meaning room to breathe rather than confining it's point down to a single theory. peace out. Liam. |

The thought that this song is ruined merely by the fact that is religion related is utterly rediculous. I don't believe in god, but I believe in people, so if this track was created from someone with a comforted state of mind and a warm heart, regardless of what that comfort and warmth has spawned from, it's still beautiful and strong. and the thought that the internet of all places should a place that discourages freedom of speech (ie using swear words for any band) is a silly approach aswell, because if people can't express their opinions through means they wish to express them then what's the point of freedom of speech? As for the song: I love it when the lines "it's my time to rise" are said. And the thing I like the most about this song would have to be the start of the bridge, where the vocalist says "You'll never take me in the fire" But I was just thinking, if this song is supposedly about him being fire-proof and un-able to be 'burned' in 'hell', then why would he be worried about someone "taking him into the fire". When I'm thinking that the path to hell is a path designated by your own actions. I mean, the people that go to hell through the eyes of christianity are the people that make bad choices. Point being: why would he be saying "you'll never take me into the fire" When the only person that can take him to hell is himself. I just had that thought as I was writing some of that down, but yeah, I'll stop before I get into some sort of unstoppable rant. peace out. |
