When I got married in '08, this was our song. "If I don't say this now I will surely break As I'm leaving the one I want to take Forgive the urgency but hurry up and wait My heart has started to separate" This part to me is about his true love leaving him, but she says she will be back. He's telling her to hurry up, but wait for him(dont find another). His heart is hurting badly from her leaving, but he feels she will be back. "There now, steady love, so few come and don't go Will you won't you, be the one I always know When I'm losing my control, the city spins around You're the only one who knows, you slow it down" Here I believe they got back together and he asked her to marry him. She's the only one for him. That is exactly what happened to us, so this just seemed to be the perfect song for us. =-) |

Its seems to me like she's talking about having an affair, and ends up falling for the guy. "And I don't care about the girl behind you." - Her not thinking about the 'girl behind him' makes me think of his wife. Her heart feels bad because she can't have anymore than what he's giving. He will never truely be hers. "And you don't care how this affair will break me." - She loves him, but knows that sooner or later the thing between the two will be over, and that its going to devastate her. |
