| DevilDriver – These Fighting Words Lyrics | 14 years ago |

I'm definitely thinking the song is about the strive for change, and the fear of change that many people have "Two Highways, a fork in the road/Which one to take? Through the middle they rode" talks about carving a new path; making change. Doing something new Then it goes into how "These fighting words deserve exile; Banished"; which goes into peoples fear of change; they don't want to leave the comfort of what they have now "Long for the home I left yesterday"; and then goes to talk about how regardless of backlash; change will happen, "Unbelievable, [yet] Invincible" The idea of change and progress will always be there; people will always strive for it, with or without the support of neophobic masses |

I might be reading a little bit too much into this, but I believe this song is about a man who shot and killed someone(a man with a gun in his eye, explains the sirens[ambulence/police]) He believes that the only way for him to not be caught and persecuted is to get as far away as possible(I gotta get out/I gotta break it out now) but decides to stay one more night to spend with his wife(If I gotta be damned/You know I wanna be damned/Dancing through the night with you) In the morning, he gets on his motorcycle and hits the road("I can see myself tearing up the road/Faster than any other boy has ever gone" and "No one's gonna stop me now/I gotta make my escape") But he can't stop thinking of his wife and isn't paying attention to the road (But I can't stop thinking of you/And I never see the sudden curve until it's way too late) He goes over the railing, cliff, or something and crashes at the bottom(Then I'm dying at the bottom of a pit in the blazing sun/Torn and twisted at the foot of a burning bike) where he bleeds out to his death(And the last thing I see is my heart/Breaking out of my body) |

| Running Wild – Libertalia Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| The song is obviously about the legendary colony forged by Pirates and founded by Captain James Misson... Libertalia. | |
| Simon and Garfunkel – The Sound of Silence Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
When Paul was young, he use to take his guitar into the bathroom and play, in silence, in darkness. "Hello, darkness, my old friend... I've come to talk with you again..." |

| Nightwish – Ever Dream Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song definitely has some personal connection with Tuomas. The fact that he breaks out in tears at the beginning in End of an Era and walked off stage afterwards. Hell, the first half of the song he plays with his head down, covering his face. | |
| Nightwish – The Poet And The Pendulum Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think this song covers many things. Of course the topic of losing Tarja out of the band, and also the fact that while he was suffering because of it, there are many people in the world that don't care about his feelings, and just want him to make more music(thus, he'd be a whore for the cold world) | |
| Kamelot – When The Lights Are Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I almost want to say that this is some sort of grim love song o.O | |
| TestAmenT – The Preacher Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I was thinking that it was about Nostradamus. But I could be wrong. | |
| TestAmenT – Urotsukidoji Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
The song's a tribute to the anime Chojin Densetsu Urotsukidoji, with speech samples from the introductory(first), Amano Jyaku, the main character, demons, and some nazis from the second. First sample is saying "The Promised time is close at hand" |

I'm pretty sure that it's not "a liar" but it's just "liar". "Never mind they call you liar and thief" And did anyone else notice the similarity between this and New American Century? Lyrics and the music alltogether? I think this might be basically New American Century II, basically an aftermath sort of. Of what happened when people didn't "Fight the Power" o.O |

| KMFDM – Godlike Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Does anybody know what the "Security forces may have killed thousands of people in crushing anti-government rallies" is referring to?(it's not in lyrics,, but I've heard it in the song) | |
