Yeah. I think there's album wars going on between gerard and Bert at the moment. I hope they'll make it up. And yes. It says 'You're just a sad song with nothing to say about a life long wait for a hospital stay', and bert did/does drugs a lot, and it'll end up killing him or making him ill. It is reflecting on their friendship. They met on tour, and the first 'memory' is Gerard on stage. And then at the end he's saying that Bert ran away. Did he run away when Gerard turned him down? (I deduced - but i could be wrong - that Bert wanted more from Gerard than just friendship and kissing and all that, and Gerard turned him down. There would be suitable reasons for that, like his girlfriend and homophobes, and so now Bert has sort of ran away from him. Yeah.) 'So why don't you blow me a kiss before she goes?' People have suggested that this song is about none other than Bert McCracken. This line makes sense for that. Gerard could be acting like a bitch and wanting Bert to blow him a kiss in front of his girlfriend before she leaves them alone together or something. Hehehe... Bert and Gerard used to do drugs together away from MCR, so the lines 'you can watch me corrode' and 'I love all the poison away with the boys in the band' could refer to that, 'the band' perhaps being the Used. In fact, both of the bands were quite wild, playing Spin The Bottle and making out with each other. 'One kiss and I will surrender' - that's all it will take to make Gee surrender to Bert. And perhaps he calls Bert a vampire; vampires need blood, Bert needed drugs and... Gerard! he may also be calling Bert insane, when he says 'so you can leave like the sane abandoned me'. Actually, even though Gerard said they never had sex or anything, he might have FORGOTTEN. Because he and Bert used to get stoned a lot or whatever. In the first verse, it says 'when you mentioned drugs and I thought was sober'. He could mean that Gerard was high at the time and he wasn't, so he took advantage. But then, one of them would have felt it the next day... Yeah. And Gee was depressed back in those days, so 'haven't seen him smile in a while' would be relevent if they're talking about that or whatever. And then there's 'my breathing races when you mention blue'. That's slang for Crystal Meth, so maybe when Gee mentions it, Bert thinks of the time he and Gerard did(n't) do something. Get it?? I think it's about himself. Bert, that is. It's like he's talking about himself. See the video for further evidence of this. Maybe you need to be a fangirl (or boy) to see it this way, but there was definitely something going on between Bert and Gerard Way. Maybe Bert is hurt because he wanted their relationship to go further, and he's crawling away from Gerard (who he has not portrayed in the nicest ways), like a worm would crawl from a bird. Maybe now he feels alone without Gee. Aawh. And he's saying bad things because he's childish and can't admit he's sorry. Well, that's what I think anyway. Yeah. this could e my favourite song on the album. Especially after reading the lyrics properly. Hell yeah it's about gay sex. Yaoi! About the condom comment by Jahir G, condoms would be used to prevent disease. Yeah. Has anyone ever considered that it could be about gay sex with a certain person? (I haven't read all of the comments.) *cough*Gerard Way*cough* They haven't actually done that, but maybe Bert fantasised about it... Like, listening to Lies For The Liars, there's definitely references to Gerard on there. But yeah. Maybe it's meant to be interpreted how the listnener wants it to be. |

You can tell they were inspired by Pink Floyd. The song sounds a bit like "The Trial". I think that it's after the patient has been put to sleep (in Sleep) and he's dreaming, remembering things that bad he has done in and out of the war and how his mother would feel. |

Okay, this is the 12th track on The Black Parade, so it's kinda near the start of the story thingy (don't ask if you don't know what I'm talking about. If you do, good for you) so... right. I think it's like the patient is looking back on his life ("and when the lights all went out we watched our lives on the screen") and the "It was a lie when they smiled and said, 'You won't feel a thing'" bit reminds me of hospitals. Then the roar of the crowd, heartache to sing bit is like his career. And then "I spent my high school career spit on and shoved to agree" and "We'll show 'em what we all mean" bits were saying that he was pressurized in high school and one of the outcasts that nobody understood. That's my view on things. |

First I just wanna say that yes, I am a goth; yes, I do like this band; I have liked this band for a long time and I and do NOT wanna get involved in any debate. People should stop commenting if they DO NOT like the band. Basically, the rest of us just came on the website to see if anyone knew the meaning of a certain song. Why do people even search for this band if they don't like them? Just... do something else. I'm not getting involved. Anyway, away from all that icky stuff, I have an idea of what the song could be about. Well, it's like Gerard's talking to a woman who has a husband ("in the dress your husband hates") and she's having an affair ("and the collision of your kiss that made it so hard") and they're hanging out in a cemetery or something. I really have no other idea what it could be about. It might also be linked with death or self-harm. Or maybe "us" could be murderers or something ("way down, mark the grave" and "and they found you on the bathroom floor" and "back home, off the run"), and they murdered the woman, but I doubt it. Please don't attack me if I am totally wrong. |
