Great reflection song. An attic is used to store things, like memories. Good thing for all the hippies that listen to this song, smoking that shit and not remembering things. lol, just kidding... |

Oh come on, no fucking comments! Didn't anybody dance and get down to this in college? It isn't old school so lets get some comments. This remionds me of Spring Break 2002, kicking it with the SUNY Courtland serority girls |

Ah ya think you're so pretty! ha, it reminds me of this chick I used to kick it with on Long Island. She was a firecracker! lol. Gaylie enough, she said this was "our song", what a woman. |

Ahh yeah! Man, I jam to this song. I can't imagine kids now-a-days growing up without listening to some of the best roots hip-hop that I've enjoyed all my life. |

This song is about a meaningless life. The last verse refers to a civil war burial ground-but make what you want of it. I'm not going as far as to call the civil war deaths meaningless. |

My GF says that Jamaica consideres itself the "lost tribe of Isreal". I have to ask her more about that. "Babylon" as it's know, is Jamaica and and all I know is rastas consider home "Isreal" which ironically, they consider Ethiopia.
All I know is this song is one of the greatest in the history of raggae, and I KNOW raggae. |

Fergie is a slut and a horrible example to you younger listeners. You may not think it now, but your brains are like sponges and which makes you impressionable and gullible. All this song does is give validation to skanky hoes by telling them it's ok to be bought with money and gifts. |

I always knew it had the chorus of a song from back-when, but I could never place it. Thx!
Either way, this song is awesome! I play it on acoustic guitar and it sounds great if you take the time to really nail it down. It too me a while. Ladies love it;) |

| Toots And The Maytals – Bam Bam Lyrics
|
This song was originally played at the 1st annual raggae fest of Jamaica, I believe in 1962. The festival was a symbol of expression after it's gained freedom, and raggae or "ska" was truely Jamaica's own. The festival had a contest for singers to write songs for the festival and Toots wrote "Bam Bam"
The song roots from an expression in Jamaican folklore called "Bam Bam", which translates rather difficultly. It doesn't have a direct translation but it's basically; I won't bring trouble, but if you trouble me I won't hesitate to fight"
In the end, Toots won the festival and was signed soon after. He is the founder of all raggae, long before Marley, although he is a godfather too... |

| Toots And The Maytals – Sweet And Dandy Lyrics

A simple song about the drama of weddings, and a family's skepticism of a young couples marriage. Some of the lyrics are wrong, and the first verse is about the man (Johnson) never having been to school, not Etty.
One of the greatest songs ever in raggae. I plan to get married to this song... |

I've never heard a better rendition of a failed relationship. Every feeling, every instance, and ever action of a breaking love has been put onto paper. I learned this song since it's probably the closest feeling I've ever heard outside my own mind. It is my favorite Dylan song. |

This is about how one feels toward having a second lover in their life when they already love someone. Having a second lover is a lot of weight and all the lyics follow how someone may feel about a that "side" woman... |
