Do some research on the story of Odysseus, it's greek mythology. A man named Odysseus went to the trojan war, the gods helped him and he didn't repay them, poseidon (the god of water) refused to let him home, so he was trying to get home to see his wife and his child that he had to leave behind for the war. Other gods helped him get home eventually after about 10 years after facing many dangers. This story covers the wife, the child, the ocean, the challenge (into oblivion) and I would happen to say that is good game... |

To me this song means that there's a girl who is obviously undergoing a lot of pressure, and she's trying to survive the only way she knows how, and she's wreckless in doing so, and feels all alone at the same time, the singer is portraying himself as maybe a friend, boyfriend or person that knows of this person, and is basically saying she's just about ready to leave home because she can't stand it anymore, but I could be wrong ;) |
