This song sounds on House TV Series Final Season, on the episode when Dr Wilson decides to continue being Dr House's friend afterall. Very inteligent series, very good soundtrack selection. It made me discover this artist. |

As in "The Daily Mail", I think this is a political song. On one hand it reminds me of the Wikileaks, when they talk about a pot full of secrets to be told... and how the pursuit of truth will continue whatever happens to Assange and the whole Wikileaks stuff. On the other hand, it also reminds me on tabloids, and how we get dominated by the irresistible neeed to go downstairs and rejoice on the rich and famous's s**t, while we give up making our real revolution. |

The reference about 'hounds' and 'the Daily Mail'... I think it's all about populism and opium to the people... but the people is waking up. |

I agree with blacktigermusic.com. Quite like "You and whose army" on Amnesiac, same style, same topic: REVOLUTION NOW. It's encouraging. We are needing a huge political, economic change, it'll be now, there's no turning back... and we'll be a part of it. |

I am also dissapointed to see no one here reckoning the band truely fond on spirituality in this song. I am not much of an expert about Pearl Jam, but I think this song is in fact a complaint about self-sufficiency in faith and lack of communication in love. To be a believer means just the opposite of that: being aware of what God does for you, instead of amusing yourself in what you can do for him (if anything). "Nobody hears". It is the same with communication between lovers. The moment we feel full, the moment it all loses sense, it all becomes a myth. I think this is a quite religious song, whatever 'organized' 'disorganized' religion is supposed to be. |

I discovered the song away from home, in a journey abroad (Italy), with not much new music to listen to on my mp3... and long nights not being able to sleep, shortly after a big shock in life, when my brother-in-law left my sister and their two young kids. This song always makes me evoque all the happy moments lived together, and long for the moments that will never be. I feel like a whole life running in front of my eyes. I think this is a very sad song and one full of hope at the same time. It always makes me cry. I wouldn't mind if somebody played this song in my funeral. |

Noone ever recognised in this song an encounter with Death? Someone who is loved by Bjork might have died, and in that state of shock Death talked to Bjork, 'touched her arm and smiled', following with the words as if Death herself was wispering. I have always seen this song that way. |
