Not only the greatest drummer, but one of the best songwriters of this generation. He wrote a song as beautiful as "Afterlife" and then turned that on it's ear and wrote "A Little Piece of Heaven". Not to mention, as a lifelong Mr. Bungle fan he was the frontman of Pinkly Smooth, the only band that I know of that could've carried the torch for alternative metal for Mr. Bungle. Had Jimmy lived and they made a proper album (which was in the works when Jimmy died). Jimmy was the only musician that I actually cried over his death. I woke my wife up and told her "Jimmy's fucking dead". It was the only time I cried over for a non family member. He was a severely gifted dude and he left us way too soon. I still cry when I was Twenty Four Core's tribute. I found Oingo Boingo because of Jimmy dropping their name so much... Sorry if this is REALLY long winded, but I had to say it. |

I believe the song is about the dreams anti-depressant/anti-anxiety meds (klonopin/xaxax/atavan) have been know to cause. "Lucid dreams...", "Medicated Smiles..." And the nightmare (depression) that doesn't end when you wake up. |

I've been reading other comments, about the peacock, underneath. It might be a very well veiled meaning, hoping the listener will grab the first thing they hear. It could mean about showing your true colors, but then again it might be another dirty Katy Perry song. I can honestly see both. I think Katy Perry can be very clever with her lyrics. |

Has anyone thought about the film "Basket Case" and Deron's love for horror films? If you watch the film and read the lyrics especially "have you ever seen another lying in a pool of blood". "You don't have to be so shallow" is Duane thinking of Belial's attempts to sabotage his personal life outside of Belial. And the "failed attempts" to kill Belial. Don't know I just know Deron is really into horror movies and "Basket Case" being a classic horror movie about conjoined twins separated against their will. |

Who finds comfort or ease in atheism? It's hard to find ANY solace in atheism. Everywhere you look, atheists constantly omit their lack of faith to avoid attack, be it verbal or physical attack. I am an atheist and most times I bite my tongue to avoid a confrontation. So, how is there any EASE/COMFORT in being an atheist? |

Honestly, as far as recording goes, I think honestly it was recorded in a normal studio. Effects were added to give it that "old-school" feel. Cuz the trumpet solo sounds, just like the vocals do, professional. |
