Yes, this! I think this is about a girl who is constantly searching for things outside of herself to make her happy. Maybe the lyric "Annie wants a baby" doesn't mean a literal baby, but something new and different to satisfy her? "Sent along the way Nothing stops the ache" "Missing pieces Shes got alot of them" These lyrics really make me think the song is more about the girl's dissatisfaction with herself/what she has in life. |

| This is the first Sonic Youth song I ever heard. I heard it on someones MySpace, I was a huge Nirvana fan and I'd heard of SY but never listened. Since then, I was hooked. I also love the skateboardring in the video, and the house party. Haha, makes me wanna dance like Kim Gordon. | |

| This song is so beautiful. I relate it to the Biblical story of Samson and Delilah which she is obviously doing here, but giving it a little twist to describe her own relationship. This song completley describes how much a woman can overpower a man. These are the most beautiful lyrics I've read in ages. And everyone here should check out the song "Hallelujiah" by Jeff Buckley. Leonard Cohen wrote the original version, however I find Jeff's alittle better. | |
