I agree with the noose on page 4 and now that I wrote that other post I feel stupid but FUCK IT! so in nooses words....I know most of you have the amotion dvd. Listen to Maynards commentary and you will learn something. this song is open like every song ever written to the listeners own personal interpretation however I know what its about. i agree with the people on the first page about how it was or could very much be a song for bush,but then i also think that it's just a song about how someone got out of rehab and has killed some one or lots of people and the singer wants to know how this person is gonna make up for it but in the end of the song he tells you how, he hangs himself. the halo is the noose...and well u know the rest. |

he's pissed off at jesus for taking his baby and he blames god for what happend even though she killed it,and no matter how many drugs he takes the pain won't go away and he wants to rewind what happend but he can't,when he is talking about how "he did the best he could" he means as a father while his baby was alive. if you guys read up on "hurt you would find that he lost his baby and that's what this album is about, well and his ex. |

you are all kinda right but if you listen to the song "rapture" and listen to this one he's singing about his child that got killed suppsedly by his ex. so he,s singing about how he knows he'll never get to see her face again and feel her love again and how now she is in heaven;and yes jesus is the carpenter. i know the feeling of love that he's talking about i'm a mother too'I feel his pain when i her both "rapture" and this one. |
