| A Day to Remember – The Downfall of Us All Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| U know, for those of you who are in the militAry like myself, just sittin back and listening to kinda reminds us of our time in the service. Both musicians, or bands and the military have a lot in common. But personally it sounds lyrically like they're talking to the fans at first, describing kinda what life is like in that kind of community, however at the end it seems like they're also reminding whomever it may be that they also don't regret the choice they made. Being a former band member myself I can understand kinda what they gotta deal with. | |

I think you guys are getting close to the point but try and look deeper. as you all know being bullied in school was something that was common. however Matt seems to be talking about more than just one person in this song. Hence the reference to possession, which leads me to believe that not only did he get bullied alot but also the antagonist of this song had taken his girl as well. I think most people can relate to that kind of rage. There are actually quite a few songs about being pushed just a little bit too far that BFMV has done. that feeling of rage is poisoning as well as addicting. This i think has the most groundshaking solo i've ever heard. even the intro gives me chills up my spine. it probably helps to know that Matt has one of the best voices when it comes to Metal. whether it'd be screaming or singing the chorus, this is a song i could listen to for a long, long time to actually make a note i think some of these songs are linked in a way(four words to choke upon, tears don't fall, my fist, your mouth, her scars, etc.) in almost a story. |

nope. just look at the lyrics. like most songs, they're just a variation of poems. I think Phil has taken that to heart. if you look it up, chiron is actually referred to a centuar that embodied healing arts and hope. he also was rumored to have tutored achilles |

good point. However, Look at all the one's Phil has written (Focus shall not fail, The air that I breath, etc) its mainly a declaration, and inspiration of self-determination. Finding something, a purpose to make decisions in this day and age are a constant reminder of whats needed to keep going. and wow, Mike and Oli are giving most of the leading guitarist these days a run for their money. just listen to the riffs. they've got so much power. you just just feel as though the music's become your very blood, coursing and burning through your veins like wildfire. it goes to the whole album. Geez guys now you're just showing off. hard works pays ATR! |

| As I Lay Dying – Nothing Left Lyrics | 17 years ago |

this song is freaking amazing!!! the album is a fucking bash-your-brains-on-the-table kickass!!!! this song kinda gives me the feeling like he thinks we can do better than where we are today. I'm not sure but I think the first line where he says the world isn't worthy i think he's either referring to us or he's being sarcastic.... |

I agree. this has something to do with an relationship...but its more than the lie and betrayals. here's my analysis. line 1: I know you can't recall anything at all or why we're standing here. this basically says while he felt solid in the relationship. his ...mate i guess you could say forgot the reason why she was still in this relationship. line 2: the day you figure out your words crumble just beneath your feet. when she had finally figured out her reason, things had already become too late. her mistakes had trampled that reason and left nothing but pain and regret. bridge: this is how a mountain gathers purposely directed shadows. describes the mounting frustration that both partners feel. also the "shadows" describe some background that ties into their actions Bridge line 2: this sinking ship has information that could tear us apart. to follow albasketball21, this has to do with the relationship but the change is that its the situation they're in. this song has to do with a single moment in their life thats testing to both of them. they are learning more about themselves as well as their relationship. chorus line 1: along the way we learn things too hard. this really isn't a complaint at all but a statement to the fact that each thing that they learn has a permanent impact on their life. chorus line 2: whisper out the way to stop my heart He knows that she controls his heart. his devotion towards her is confusing. he knows this could mean the end for them together, but if she should end it now wihile there is still hope of working things out could kill him. line 4: the things you used to say before the day I used to care at all. before this whole thing, he was alive, cautious. now however, he could careless what happens to him, to an extent at least. he's remembering the things she used to say and do. line 5: its in the fingertips, i caught you looking; hazing down on me. I looked up the word "hazing" and it was defined as the vagueness of mind. so I guess that this line has to do with an recent act of emotion the physicall shared, and he noticed that she just didn't quite put as much into it as she used to. she's lost interest and now is looking at him as thought he's a faint memory. this hurts him greatly, because he doesn't know what to do. thats what i could get from this. oddly enough, its not too different from what i'm going through right now.... |

| Creed – Higher Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| wow....you guys don't support your opinions what so ever. you guys, the ones who attack creed like its a disease, you should state reasons as to follow your opinion. that way it MIGHT get some consideration. I'm not religious, and infact, despise religion because its man made. you'd think that it would have no fault if it were really made by god. I do believe that god is there and support him. but those of you who so blindly attack creed should wonder exactly what their lyrics mean. your conclusions seem so innocent. *laugh* these guys sing their thoughts not to force you to believe, but to make you wonder exactly what IS out there. | |
