Thank you autarchicflux, you're the only person who agrees with me that this song is about the difficulty of aging and not accomplishing one's goals completely. I also think that part of the "goals" would be in reference to the band. I also don't understand the lyric confusion on this forum. The Shins' lyrics are always CLEARLY PUBLISHED IN THE ALBUM INSERTS. Truthfully, this isn't one of my fav Shins songs, but maybe that's just because I can't relate to it. |
