on the other hand, it pretty rabidly demonstrates not just Rush's profound talent in playing (just three men playing this immensely deep sounding music bot in studio AND on stage), showing off their technique with song construction, time signature changes, fusion of different styles (hard rock, prog rock, electronics, ska and caribbean influences) ...sure the lyrics aren't Shakespeare maybe but they get the point across very well and it's a great song to listen to. |

"i'm just saying that cause i'm a christian, and i hate it when people bash on God " let's not confuse bashing the church with bashing god. given the amount of politico-religious songs tool/APC makes i find it hard to believe maynard doesn't have some strong spiritual beliefs of his own. just cause he takes umbrage with the outlook and dogma of organised religion doesn't mean he necessarily is athiest of god-hating by any means. |
