I think the lyric goes:
'i could ask you if you never lied to me
then why did you insist on playing parodies*** for friends'
Small but important change...at least to me |

ignoring that you need to face mortality sometime. coming up with excuses that make it alright to ignore mortality. then you'll eventually face mortality without coming to terms with your possible potential, things you could've done, as well as the people you leave behind.
that's just wat i take from the song...but I need to think about it more |

Thom tries to make his lyrics so they relate to everyone in different ways but with this song for me at least its about trying so hard and not suceeding at something (you could apply that to politics if you wanna go with the political viewpoint of HTTT). Its about being so tired to the point that you are going to have to give up. |

I think its about being in a relationship that is getting serious and he doesn't really want it too. He wants out, he doesn't really want to spend his entire life being unhappy just to make the other person happy. That might be wrong though, it's just a guess and I didn't really do any research |

Yeah Thom has been trying to make his lyrics less about himself and make them relate to a wider range of people but still not be too poppy and still maintain the deep lyrics a lot of his songs have. I think to help this he likes to keep them open to interpertation but I really think to Thom this song is talking about how he was so depressed in his early years (Creep, Pablo Honey, The Bends) and now he is coming out of that. How he says "There is no future left at all I used to think" I think is kinda saying out he thought there is no purpose but now he realizes thats not true. |

It's probably not about drugs cuz believe it or not radiohead was not real into drugs. Jonny Greenwood (the lead guitarist) once tried drugs and didn't like it and needed their manager to calm him down. He said "what's the point of taking something if its gonna make u feel that bad the next day." They drink but they aren't addicted. Thom and a few others use to go to raves and take stuff their before they were big and well known but other than that I'm pretty sure they are drug free for the most part. |

| The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Little Wing Lyrics

This song is way to melodic to be about a prostitute. Definately not it. Some history about this song: Jimi died and this song was named Little Wing by a recording company who sold his record. Later the Hendrix family gained the rights to all of Jimi's work including this song. Before Jimi died he called this song Angel (there is another song by hendrix called Angel so don't get them confused). Then when the Hendrix family released an album they put the name Angel instead of little wing to be true to Jimi. So I think cuz of the name Angel that means its definately not about a prostitute. And the song my actually be about an Angel. "Walking through the clouds" kinda reinforces that but the circus and animals part throw me off. But still I'm thinking its about a beutiful Angel who comforts him when he is troubled. Or he could be comparing another women he knows to an Angel. |
