For the second verse 'and your body and my mattress is proof' makes me think that he had sex with her. But 'But do you think I'm telling you the truth' makes me think he's telling other people they had sex when they never did. And the chorus makes me think that the girl wants to be something more than just good looking to him. That she wants him to realize the beauty of her inside. But when he says 'But darling dear get a grip' is kinda referring to her maybe being shallow? There are many meanings to songs so I'm not quite sure. |
