This song released in 2006, 2 years before Twilight released the soundtrack so its safe to say that it was not written for Twilight. Sorry to burst your bubbles, but I looked it up on wikipedia. Just search the Blue Foundation album "Life of a Ghost" if you don't believe me. This song is on it. As far as interpretations go, I would say this song is about someone very fake: "Of your stolen power I see right through you any hour." The songwriter is fed up with this persons bullshit and has set out to fuck them up: "I'm taking it slow Feeding my flame Shuffling the cards of your game And just in time In the right place Suddenly I will play my ace" In the end, our songwriter succeeds: "Eyes on fire Your spine is ablaze Felling any foe with my gaze And just in time In the right place Steadily emerging with grace" |

It seems to be about him doing drugs to deal with a lost love. I could be wrong but this seems to clarify it: "With nothing useful to say and no one to listen to it Filling the deep with the pain, I slowly sink into it Consider questionable things to try to get me through it I've tried to push it away but I always give into it Long for the taste of all the rain that finally helps subdue it And washes this all away" The "rain" is the drug(s?) that will wash away his pain. The crushing weight he is sinking under could be either depression or drug use. |

I'm 90% sure your correct DCswindle. Some drugs make your teeth clench such as esctasy and meth, it makes perfect sense. joejackoff, im not sure how your compairing Slipknot to BMTH. They have two very different styles and have no relation to each other what so ever other than the fact that BMTH did a cover of Eyeless...and thats more commonly a sign of respect. |

personally, i think this song is about doing drugs. For instance when he states that "its killing me to live" he could refer to the fact that he knows that hes damaging his body but he does it anyway because its fun and he feels alive but he could care less because he doesnt have "one shit left to give" I could be wrong, but thats the way i look at it |
