hahah, i seriously doubt this song its about incest. a lot of lines in this song wouldn't make sense. "family" sounds more like being in close relationships to people (not blood related) or just being very close to whoever she's talking about's family, but i dont think thats it either. "hey good friends dont ya think you better cool it down? youre always gettin curious and leaving town you know i like it being in your family wonder what would happen if nobody left wed all stick around, if wed all stick around" to me its sounds more like friends that you make your family. |

wolfwood was a bit... strong about his opinion, but he is right. to me it sounds like when he was having a rough time with his (fairly recent at the time) wife, Braeden, because he was touring a lot and working on his career, thus not being able to have a proper or normal relationship with her. |

| the entire album is like dreaming/heaven/garden of eden-like world. this song seems like its introducting everythingm, cause this isnt the only song that talks about dreaming of a unexistant love. greta's lyrics in Don't Wake Me Up are like almost the exact story line, but different style of lyrics obviously. i believe its about friendship and relastionship and saying that he and the other person made mistakes, so they lost what they had. because he puts down himself: "I am no gentleman I can be a prick And I do regret more than I admit" and he puts down the other person: "I was the light from the lamp on the floor And only as bright as you wanted me to be." it sounds like Will knows that it isn't his own fault, but he blames himself anyway. |
